Manwolf for Genesis

http://www.daz3d.com/shop/the-man-wolf

A beast lurks within.
Only revealed when the moon is right.
A man becomes a wolf, and his howl echoes in the night.
Bring the werewolf legend to life with your Genesis figure.

Product Includes:

• One Property Pose to Unlock the characters joints for posing.
• One Eye fix pose
• One ManWolf Morph
• One ManWolf tail figure
• Two Eye Materials
• Three Genesis Materials
• Three Tail Materials
• 10 Pose presets
• Custom morphs for Ear_bend, Snarl, and Mouth_Open

Pushing the extremes of how far genesis can be shaped, I am proud to present the Manwolf.
Now you can have a figure truely transform from a man to a wolf, just with the simple spin of the dial.

There's got to be some way to make a werewolf or lycan actually look handsome...

Not sure what you are saying.
(Trying not to read it as an insult)

The intent of this set was to make it as close to a wolf shape as genesis would allow.

It wasn't intended as an insult, trust me!

I was merely making the observation that many if not most ways of depicting the werewolf or lycan seem to emphasize more on the beastly or fearsome side of his appearance. I've actually come across some werewolf/lycan pics that (try to) make him look more human or give a subtle touch of personality instead. But to each his own, I guess...

There are many different ways to portray werewolves. That is why I can make so many versions and not duplicate myself.
This one was intended to be animal like
Maybe another time i can try something more human. It just wasnt the intent here

I actually like it because it DOES look like a wolf or dog, would love a feline too.
this is more of a shapeshifter beast (dare I say like in Twilight!!) whereas MSlycan is a man becoming monsterous the traditional half wolf metamorphasis.
the shapeshifter that can become any beast always appealed to me.

It's ultimately a question of how much the beast dominates the facial structure, if you want a werewolf that still meets human standards of beauty, then a significant amount of human facial structure is going to have to shine through. With characters like Lycan or Manwolf, that's going to need you to dial the morph to 50% or even less so that the human features still play a major part of the look. I suppose it might be possible to produce a character with different head morphs showing several stages of transition, with the muzzle gradually thrusting forward and coming to dominate the features, but for now it's probably a question of playing with the dials to see what you can get.

    YAY!

So doing terribly difficult math (having nasal cavities stuffed with unholy goo is a really excellent way to drop my IQ), that gives me enough time to see what pops out tomorrow and acquire it in the same bundle!

I wonder if breed-typing morphs would be possible. You know, the sort of free/cheap add-on that only looks right combined with the main product, but looks odd on its own. Could we turn him from this wolf into a coon-hound or bulldog, for example, or into a deadly dachshund? Or do we run out of available vertices too soon?

I advise to blend in a bit of Anubis head for extra fun.

Ah crud, I can't hold back, I'm gonna buy this one now and fur it as LAMH beta test.

yeash, got the fur on his torso then Carrara decided to freeze up, not unfreezing!! does that sometimes with Genocide
will have to kill it with task manager
might render a squirrel instead and try manwolf in iClone!

Thats the fun thing about genesis...it is so easy to take a basic shape and make something unique to your own vision out of it...well done!

This does play really nice with other morphs and creature creator morphs -- note that I plugged in more dog-head, and ta-dah!

Ears... well, I have no idea WHY I went for that combo, but I wanted wider, friendlier ears. :)

A dash of Anubis head, and Bob's your uncle.

I keep crashing Carrara adding fur!
(not your morph, Genesis in general is an issue)
was wondering if I do get him working, what sort of animation I would use
(cannot bring the iClone one over so easily)

finally, I stopped duplicating fur for shading domains and created new instances and stopped copying and pasting texture maps
    needs work though.
did a video my keyframed quadruped motions leave a lot to be desired, I wonder if Medhu's MSlycan aniblocks will work on it, might have to buy them, obviously they will work on Lycan so not wasted.
