It is really called a Sten, not a Stan. I thought Stan was the character in the render until I read the description lol

I am also confused why they did not use the proper name. Surely this long obsolete weapon is not still under copyright?
I was JUST going to post that! I'm thrilled that it has both rounds and casings.
But did you notice the address of tea company? :)
I'm sure they just don't want to deal with any infringement issues
Could still be trademarked and some companies are very protective of such things.
Hi there,
I am Ticketyboo, the second half of the collaboration on the Stan. Sadly, we did research on the proper name of the SMG and it seems that there are still claims, so we thought it best to keep it copyright-safe. Better safe than sued!
We also thought attention to detail was the way forward, hence Totte's lovely work on the shells and cases. From our point of view we really want to push for customer satisfaction.
And thank you for noticing the address on the tea company! That bit was one of mine! ;)
Thank you so much for checking out the product, it means a lot,
Barry
If Arthur could have a sword called Excalibur, why can't Tommy have a gun called Stan?
Too much tea!
lol Early Grey of course and late Grey and in between grey anytime is teatime.
Fifty different sorts?
"Tea, Early Grey, Hot"
:)
W H A T ? ? ?
Good grief no!
Real tea drinkers drink Assam. None of that sissy Earl Grey
Early grey Hot,
Early grey cold
some like it in the pot

Why do people think Earl Grey is sissy, All depends how many scoops of tea you put in the pot. I have a smallish pot, I put one for me, and then another one for me and one for the pot. I get 2 mugs of nice strong tea out of that.
I just like the taste of bergamot; that's not that sissy Earl Grey is it?
My tea isn't sissy. I'm often asked for a slice. Sadly, I don't think these people are being complimentary!
I do believe that SaskSten here in Canada still manufactures Sten variants and probably would have claims.. You should run up a Lanchester - much nicer to handle and fire than a Sten.. ( and not as much funas a proper Sterling) Is your Stan Iray only? (which would really be a pity..)
Cheers
Harold
Does your spoon stand up straight in it without support?
Earl Grey is fine, but you can't beat a builder's tea for a pick-me-up... (or Yorkshire Gold...ourt afternoon tea of choice)
made in a china pot which may have been rinsed after use but is never actually washed, and made using proper tea, none of them cissy tea bags.
I wouldn't think that copywright law would apply to a 3d model of a ww2 gun- I'm sure that is some legal grey area. Certainly Turbosquid has about 20 variations of the sten all called by it's name and selling for more:

A SMG thread about tea?
Three bags to two mugs. The first mug is just some tea to drink while you wait for the second mug to steep properly. No sugar, no milk. Bergamot is for connoisseurs.
Spoon? Nothing short of a Black and Decker will penetrate my tea :D
Yes, fun isn't it, I happen to know that Code66 is off on vacation, so everything is just Ticketyboo.
You can still actually buy Stern gun kits that you can build in semi auto configuration. I recognized it instantly and reminds me of the Sterling that they use as the base for the E-11 Blaster that Stormtroopers carry in the Star Wars Movies. The set looks to be very well done and I like the fact that they have added new, used and relic. I hope that if the PA's that created this set make others of this type they include the added textures like this one and would like to request they look into a Sterling L2A3 SMG and a possible add on that would make it look like the E-11.
This thread demonstrates the importance of tea control.
@Chohole
Just teasing because Earl Grey s so popular with starship captains.. For me, one teaspoon of Assam (I like the malty flavor) to a tall mug (12 oz). Steep for 5 to 7 minutes. No bags. I wash my mug every quarter whether it needs it or not
.
Don't confuse a Sten with the Sterling. It's the Sterling Mk 5 that was the base for the Starwars blasters. I carried one (without the cool mods) for nearly 10 years.
Edit: Sorry Shadowhawk1; I finally understood what you wrote. So for the others... this is the comparison.
I was very familiar with the Sterling as well as the Canadian Army had them until they were replaced. Due to the fact that they would tend to runn away firing when fired and the only way to stop it was to remove the Mag, the standing joke was cock it and throw in a room for room clearing

My biggest complaint, as a Medic, was, when slung it was at just the right height that when I bent over to tend a patient on a stretcher, the SMG would swing around and clock my patient on the head. Demonstrated that to my Sgt Major, and was issued a Browning 9 mm.
