    ...Phsycally Based Redner(ing)

Iray, LuxRender, Octane and VRay, use PBR rendering.

...really nice, I like the effect of shadow and light.

Yeah when I did a comparison test of a scene in both 3DL and Iray, the 3DL version rendered in 14 min (with simulated bounce light) while in Iray it took over 2 hours.  The scene included reflectivity, a fair amount of transmaps, and the 3DL version made use of the SSS skin shader.

I enjoy them because they are puzzles in story form.

Last comment about updating my game: I still having issues with the patching becoming stuck.  I had to termine the process using Windows Task Mananger.  I gave up and deleted the game.  Now I am downloading 30 GB from scratch.  Maybe the third time will be the charm?? lol

    Perhaps:

    1) people like to see the bad guy get what's coming to him?

    2) people are relieved to realize that they're not as dumb as the bad guy?

    3) people like to see what cool equipment the cops have that you don't?

    4) people are bored to death with other types of shows?

That's funny cause I do it with my kids all the time. Make up works instead of cussing. If its just me and the wife or other adults then it don't matter to cuss.

Hey thanks, is a diffuse and blinn shader setup. with one directional light (parallel rays) overcranked to 550% to bleach out the skin texture :)

I want a Suburban Sprawl. A convenience store, maybe a strip mall, lots of homes with lawns...

My wife's parents were Mexican immigrants. It worked out well, whenever she got mad at me I couldn't understand a word she was saying. (Although I think I figured out "Bastid!")

It was kind of like getting yapped at by a Chihuahua. I never told her that, though. I'm slow, not stupid.

I heard someone saying something a few minutes ago, and I'm trying hard to remember just who it was and what they said.
Then it hit me. It was me, talking to myself.
    I still can't remember what I said.
    Getting old sucks.

...I believe Collective 3Ds store was on sale yesterday Lots of nice neighbourhood houses.

Stonemason was working on a suburban sprawl set a couple years ago but I believe he shelved it for now. As I remember trees were the big issue as they would have made the set extremely heavy poly-wise and the only other option would be to use billboards.

...yeah I agree with that.  Worse is when I set something down (particularly my glasses) and end up in a protracted hunt turning things over only to find it was almost in front of my eyes all the time.

Part of the reason why vid tutorials aren't much help for me.

Problem is I own Collective3Ds store! If you use them to build a neighborhood, the poly count is... frightening. Rendering takes longer than building a real neighborhood would. On a government contract.
