I see a lot about these lately. If you were to add Iray textures/shades to say M4 or V4 rather than thewr usual bog standard ones, would they come across as more realistic when rendering with Iray?

    Yes, if the surface settings were well set up and you used a good base they would be more realistic. They might not be the absolute best because they could potentially be missing maps that enhance the realism in Iray.
