Boolean searches on Daz?
in The Commons
I'm trying to find a past topic post relating to both geografts and morphs, but the search engine here is returning all mentions of either. How does the search engine here define limited searches? I tried putting in "geograft AND morph", and "geograft + morph" and get a bazillion useless hits of "morph" all by itself. What is the proper syntax for search requests?

p.s., the problem I'm encountering is trying to get morphs to work on a geograft I made, without the mesh exploding into spiky random directions.... surely its a problem already solved here, if I could just discover the right post!
I've found that the search fuction in daz forums is not very good. If you want to find something you need to use an outside search function. Sometimes google works.
Try this in google search : site:www.daz3d.com/forums/ geograft morphs
Anything there?
You might want to try marble's search but use vertex order instead of geograft morphs.
Does anyone know why, after all these years, there is still no boolean support in DAZ search? I'm trying to find out why my Install Manager keeps freezing (not responding) - I've tried all the obvious, like waiting (up to 30 minutes) to see if it responds and sometimes it does, but not always.
I came from the UNIX world and could cast a "Regular Expression" search spell like the wizard I was.
Then I found myself dumped into the PC world.
Blech, these people have no idea what they're missing.

I would be curious to know the answer to this as well. The search engine in the store has also been simplified, so it is more difficult now to find certain products....still trying to understand the reasoning behind that move. But I'm sure Daz has a rational explanation for it.
