Star hair on v4?

Has anyone done this: Put "toon" hair made for Star on a standard, non-anime-style V4 figure? 

I think some of the Star hair would work with some of the comic book style art I'm working on, but I really dont't want to spend tons of time tweaking it to fit. (A little time is okay, but I've had issues with hair fits before). Any thoughts or experience with this?

    ...I've used Toon Kimberly hair on realistic characters.  Like the style and it looks pretty good.

    You can parent hair to head as a prop instead of a conforming fit, adding smoothing modifier and using xyz scale to get it to fit right on the head.

    Some of the wierd ones that fall to the floor or such may clip the shoulderblades in back. So you'll need to be carefule with the pose and camera angles.
