    I keep using the AT-drone as a horse but it's not really the same.

    Thanks. I definately plan to work with him some more. This was a quick one just to see how he worked and how easy it was to work with. I have to wait until I can be offline for a while to really work with him because Daz Studio has been crashing unless I turn off wifi for over a week now.

    I love robot dogs. I use them often, recolored. There are a couple at rendo. Most are indeed of the fierce variety.

    Any kind of robot is an instant sale for me. But particularly if it is dog-like. I am definitely a dog lover.

    Littlefox had an old one in the Deep Freeze collection on RDNA. It was made to go with her A3 character/outfit Hailey. i.e., Hailey's Comet. Don't know whether it will be making the migration though. It was pretty old. 

    I *think* I remember seeing a robot Horse on Rendo, but it was a couple of years ago and I can't remember who did it.

    Speaking of the Mosquito, can anyone get the D|S materials to work right in D|S without major reworking? I was just trying a conversion to Iray materials, so I started with the 3Delight settings. They're very weird, my test renders are nothing like the promo pics. The chrome isn't shiny, everything else is, and displacement and normal maps aren't applied to anything; are these just the Poser materials saved out directly as D|S materials? I know this used to be a common error in the early days of D|S.

    I don't know if it's still available -- or how you purchase it if it is, since I think they've disabled purchasing at RDNA, but http://www.runtimedna.com/Hailey-s-Comet.html was a decent Poser-based robo-horse.

    http://www.daz3d.com/robohorse is for Carrara; I don't know if that helps you or not.

    I suppose resurfacing MilHorse or Horse 2 in metal and emissive/UberArea shaders wouldn't quite be the right look, would it?

    I have Comet and it's even installed though I forgot about it. But I can't find it in my RDNA downloads and that's very strange. No other way would i have gotten it. Maybe it has an undescriptive filename or something went wrong there. It's very old.

    According to my downloads at RDNA, the name of the zip is Uberskulk-HaileysComet_44318.zip. (...Uberskulk?) And it's a Littlefox creation, at that; I'd completely forgotten that.

    When it comes to robotic dogs, nothing beats the original!

    Sorry, couldn't resist having a lil' fun.  The "Doctor Who" K*9 mesh is Mick Imrie's which I converted from .3DS probably more than 12 years ago.

    Thanks for the filename. It looks more like a rendo filename than RDNA so I checked my items over there and...BINGO...it must have moved over there at some point. I purchased it at rendo in March of 2010.

    Wow! The page is still there and it doesn't say 'unavailable' so whoever it was who asked about a robot horse...

    Thanks.  I did several pair poses like these.  The dogs can be loaded separately and poses applied, or as a scene subset which will load the two dogs at once.

    It was originally at Rendo, iirc. It was one of the A3-related products that Littlefox had over there, I *think* eventually it went clearance/disappearance (or something), she got it back and it went straight into the Deep Freeze at RDNA. It was only there for a couple of years or something like that.

    Its still findable on RDNA, but it's back to full price, since the Deep Freeze collection has apparently been disbanded.

    I ended up getting Ulitmate Rex package.  I'll have to do a render soon once I get it installed.  He looks very cute and it looks like it comes with a lot of extras!  I would also be interested in what 3djoji has coming out.  Hailey's Comet is in my cart waiting for me to check out!
