Questions about "Wind" and dynamic clothing control.

Im starting to realize just how sculptural a process dynamic clothing can be. Ive been playing with the wind tool some but Im not completely understanding how it works. Here are a few questions I have about wind and the OptiTex dynamic clothing control.

1. When you place the wind tool (the little fan), is the tool itself the source of the wind or does it simply indicate the winds direction?

2. Does the wind have a spread pattern? Does it fan out in a cone or is it more like a beam of wind?

3. If I scale the wind tool, does that result in a smaller or larger area of wind against the clothing surface or is the scale of the tool irrelevant?

    Hello!

    1. The wind tool acts very much like the infinite light. It just indicates the direction and angle, but the wind is coming from an infinite source. You can test it by putting the tool behind your figure pointing away from it. The The wind will still act on the cloth.

    2. No, see above.

    3. No. See above. You can only set the velocity in the parameters tab.
