Has anyone tried to use any of Stars hairs on say G2F? The figure itself doesn't really fit what i'm working on, but I do really like several of her those.

Someone in another forum tried with the one that falls to the floor. It clipped badly in the shoulderblades and back areas. I would expect that for the lerss extreme ones parenting and scaling might work adequately. Onre might need to fix hairline gaps in post.

Ignore the dumb Traveler person, LOL....

I see you guys were talking about the Adverturer set.

Even if its Poser only, I load star stuff from both the poser libraries and Daz libries in DS. (Gotta have them IDG poses!)

Does that work? I thought that with the Daz and Poser versions of Star using different methods of rigging, weight mapping and other arcane trickery, conforming clothes had to be made to conform to one version or the other.

It won't work "as is". It should load (it will probably give you lots of errors on weightmapping), and once it's loaded you'll need to "autofit" it to DS Star.

  • Hello - I’m Sara, @willowmoon3d, the creator of the Adventurer Set for Star! I’m sorry of anyone purchased the set for use in Daz  Studio -  As you probably know I’m new to Daz 3D.

The product as it was on RDNA was for Poser only and was migrated across without alteration, as far as I can tell. I must admit I was confused too by the original description on the product page.

Anyway, if you can bear with me, I will be converting the whole set for Studio, with compatible rigging and material presets. I’m still learning the ropes so it might take a little time.
I should like to issue the revised product as a free upgrade to those that have already purchased it - I will check with the admins if such a thing is possible.

I’m sorry if anyone feels misled and I hope we can still be friends :)

Just purchased Adventure Set  For Star!

    http://www.daz3d.com/adventurer-set-for-star

    Installed via DIM

    With Star selected and no pose appplied I get;

#1 When loading the Pith Helmet I get lots of vertex error messages (the helmet does apply itself ok to the body ok)

#2  When loading the Star Backpack I get lots of vertex error messages (the  shorts does apply itself to the body ok)

#3  When loading the Star Backpack I get lots of vertex error messages (the  backpack does apply itself to the body ok)

#4 When applying colour Taupe to the pith helmet the colour of the cloth band (scarf) does doesn't change (it does for the other choices)

I am using DAZ Studia 4.9.0.63 Pro (64 bit) on a windows machine

    Compatible Software: Poser

    ...

Can anyone who got the Adventure Set for Star! check in the .zip to see if there are DUF files? If they're there then the package was changed (and might explain why it, among others, don't show up as purchased). I checked the original .zip and there are only Poser files.

It's probably just an error on the product page, but it's important to know.

I don't see any .duf files listed in the File List on the readme page, and there is no mention of duf files on the product page. In any event, if the item isn't showing in your library I would wait until tomorrow and if it hasn't appeared by then open a support ticket - unless you know your accounts at Daz and RDNA use diffrent emails in which case I'd open a ticket now.

Hi and Welcome, Willowmoon3d!  Nice to have you here!

Great to hear the package will get updated to be compatible with DAZ Studio.  While it can be used (if you know how to bring it into DS and fix it), having it fully converted will be a much better option.  And there are plenty of people here on the forums to help out with learning the ins and outs of DAZ Studio.

    Welcome aboard!

Hi guys! I was looking for something in the forums and came across this one! As of right now, I've only moved my Dawn/Dusk poses over to Hivewire. Whatever DAZ will take from my RDNA store, will migrate here. :D

As for my Star poses working in DS, I've been told by a number of users that they have not had any problem with them working in DS. I'm trying to learn DS when I have time. :D

Oh...and Jaki...I LOVE that image you did with my Andromeda pose! It really is just awesome!

I was interested in getting some of your pose sets for Star but unfortunatly the product page only has the one promo image and gives no real idea of the poses that are included in the packs; would it be possible to show at least some of the poses, I have poses by you for other figures so I know the poses are of a high quality, I would just like to be able to decide between the packs, thanks.

The one product image is my fault. The migration filtered them out due to some arcane database stuff, but I have fought hard and won against the database and hopefully should be bringing those  other product images over by Monday.

Yes, a definitely welcome to the new PAs!!! Hope you like the new digs.  I didn't hang out much over at RDNA, but, so far, some of the names are familiar from the few times I was over there.  I look forward to seeing what you've got!

Is it my imagination or was there a wings package for Star that showed up in the Madness Boosters collection earlier this week? I think it was the ones that are shown in the promo for the Stellar poses. There is no such wings product listed now, and a store search doesn't bring them up.

And none of the Star products show up in the general store at all. Like they are not even actually products here.

Try searching the store for vendor RuntimeDNA    they have their own section for the products that are being transfered over, as they are obviously not new producta. http://www.daz3d.com/runtimedna

JOdel, I believe the pack you are referring to was a texture pack for the wings, though I don't seem to see that at the moment (or maybe I mistook another pack for it) The wings are actually a product from RDNA many years ago for the LaRoo figure.

    The wings are here: http://www.runtimedna.com/RDNA-LaSprite-Wings-N-Things-1.html

The Star products that have migrated over from RDNA can be found under the RuntimeDNA store page if you can't remember who the vendor is: http://www.daz3d.com/runtimedna#

Hmmmm....the store page for "Mst DarkStar" is showing as purchased for me, as I bought it at RDNA, but it's not showing up in my DIM. They're supposed to be in DIM, right, if you've previously bought something at RDNA?

Also, Star! is showing as updated in DIM - readme list mentions nothing, anyone know what the update is?

Install the files as normal, and then when you go to load an outfit onto Star, the autofit dialogue will come up and you just choose what figure the clothing was orginally made for.

Dresses adn skirts and loinclothes etc can be iffy, but most clothing autofits pretty good. :D
