Gopherus - Hum... I think she's in trouble... Great candle light.

Thanks for the link. I'd forgotten about Bone's bourbon beans... maybe bourbon is to Vulcan's what kryptonite is to Superman? I didn't know about the marshmallow maker - too funny. This eye thing is crazy, in that usually when this happens - it's tiny, tiny, threads that folks don't even notice. Mine had to be one giant, gel thread, that's formed a quarter inch blurry blob in the middle of my eye... that could hang around for three months. When I exclaimed at this - my doctor shrugged and said, at least it isn't permanent. Yeah, there's that - thanks. (As for Mr. Peabody, I'm a fan).

luci45 - Poor Edwaraim, I guess everything has a side effect - fun.

Okay, now it's on to Round 5 -- wait, let me check.... (Opening Entries-Only thread in another tab....  One..., two..., three..., four....)

    Right, it's 5.

    And here's the pull:

    3443 - Melody Hair
    969 - Science Classroom
1656 - Shaded Haven Gazebo Cafe
    4448 - Demone Hall
    (LB) 296 - Nuru Hair for Genesis 2 Male(s)

    Um..., sets and hair.  Okay....

    Also used:
    David 5
    Micah Hair
    Morphing Business Suit for Genesis
    Dress Shoes
    Dream Home: Kitchen Appliances
    Cookware Set
    Modern Home Essentials: Vegetables
    Genesis 2 Male Base
Trendy College Outfit for Genesis 2 Male(s)
    Genesis Sabbatic Goat
    Short Order Cook for Genesis
    Cookware Set
    Veranil for V4
    Branwen (texture for V4)
    Veranil for M4
    Mon Chevalier Hair
    Stratton for M4 (texture)
Bijou for Genesis 2 Female(s) (Yep, I got her!)
    Cailin Hair
Waitress Uniform for Genesis 2 Female(s)
    Lany Shoes
    Dusty for Scott 6
    Surfer Hair
    Dress Shoes for Michael 6
    Easy Environments: Greenlands

Rendered in 3Delight; post-work and compositing in GIMP.

After a great deal of fiddling around with re-installing content (none of which did any good whatsoever), I finally ended up just throwing another Genesis character into the mix, just to finally be done with it!  (The fact that I was seriously butting up against the deadline was something of a factor, as well!)

This is kind of a regional joke; if you didn't live near Houston, Texas, in the 70's through the mid-2000's, you'll probably need to Google the name.  Better yet, here's the Wikipedia link; it's pretty accurate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvin_Zindler

That's a real good one Ken! I enjoyed reading the wiki article about Marvin Zindler, too. The render was funny without that, but even better once you are in on the joke. Wherever did you find the ice machine? I know you were looking for one, and now we know why.

I finally decided to just bite the bullet and get one from TurboSquid. $35.00, but it was in four different file formats, including OBJ.  Scaling it proved to be the real issue.

And I decided to throw Marvin into the scene because of his own RRRR - his weekly Restaurant Rat and Roach Reports.  Seemed almost..., poetic, in a way.

$35 is a pittance to the man who bought that outrageously priced female in the Daz Store! cheeky (Maybe sanity kicked in and you returned it.) Anyway, it was money well spent to put Mr. RRRR into your RRRR, I'd say.

Let's see if I can knock out one more in the final hours.  Here's pull #6:

677 - Starry Night for Via Serena
    3233 - Sweet Emotion V6

    Yeah, that's pretty random, alright....

No, sanity has not kicked in (I'm still 'nucking futs', or, as my therapist once observed, when I said something in a session that, apparently, took her by surprise: "Man, you are freaking nuts, do you know that!?"), and I did not return her.  And I have no intention of doing so, either.  I even used her in that last render for this very contest.  She's just abso-freakin'-lutely gorgeous!  A definite keeper!  (Unfortunately, all we see of her is her butt.  But it's a nice one!)

I just did a search for 'Bijou for Genesis 2 Female(s)', and the search returned..., absolutely nothing.  So I tried just 'Bijou', and got the character for V4; the G2F version didn't show up there, either.  Apparently, she has been pulled from the store.  So it seems that I now have an honest-to-God "collector's item".

    Money well wasted, I'd say.

@Luci45 #8  He does look like he s enjoying himself and hopefully not tracking in mud from the pond.. but i wonder who s pic is on the floor... not his girlfriend i fear!  Good one to cap off the series!

@Saphirewild #4  Getting frozen out of hell maybe have benefits.  I bet he thought she was a cool fresh breeze when he first went out with her.  Well done!!

#5  She must be really wishy washy to be agonizing so much over a decison.  I think he s just testing her for his thesis in psychology at GenieU.  Nice one!

@Ostadan #2  Once the brew starts flowing everyone s costumes will look a lot better.  Good one!

@Purrkat #5  Thanks for your comments!  That ambassador looks pretty smarmy!  I wouldn t trust her an inch.  Well done!!

@Obanion #5  When you re in hell even a slimy icemachine must look heaven sent.  Must have giardia in the water!  Good one!

@MelanieL #2  Big mistake getting rid of the cats!  I m sure there s an army of mice just over the hill just waiting.  And all the piper had to do was put his tunafish sandwich in his back pocket and all the cats would follow him home.  Nice one!

I finally got that chance to catch up:
purrkat #3 - cute robot! And nice expressions - the woman looks really fed up, hoping for closing time so she can go home?
    luci45 #6 - nice look-alike-ies! I think she's a shoe-in.
Gopherus #4 - ooh, creepy crowd! Neat use of that Portuguese Man o'War there.
diomede #4 - a time-travelling evil plan? I hope Mr Powers can stop that or I might never come to exist!
Ken OBanion #4 - sounds like this one lost you a bit of hair! It turned out rather well considering all your pain.
Chanteur-de-Vent #1 - wow, you really fit a lot of action into that one! Nice mash-up idea for you tricky pull.
(And thanks for your comment on my first entry)
diomede #5 - now that one would be one of the weirder sequels, I think (Hollywood may be knocking on you door even now...)
Totte #6 - how many film/video references did you get in there - I may have missed a few?
Gopherus #5 - lovely quirky render, I like it.
Emsim #1 - eek, I think I'd move out now if I were him! Great idea.
Gopherus #6 - clever idea, I love those rubber gloves!
purrkat #4 - fun idea, nice sketch-render - and what a grat expression you've put on that robot maid.
luci45 #7 - aha, Indy's back! I remember your gargoyle restaurant render - I love this one too. I see what barbult means about the Renoir vibe.
Totte #7 - wow, that sounds like the most exciting series of all time! Nice grungy render though.
Gopherus #7 - Great text for this one! (Nice render too)
Saphirewild #3 - I wish real bus stops had all that furniture! Nice render - great reflections
Totte #8 - so that's what goes on there at night - the reptilian looks friendly, perhaps the tentacles are what's worrying the lady.
Gopherus #8 - another lovely render - great lighting. (And thanks for you comments on my #2 - mice? that's the next sequel)
luci45 #8 - clever! That Twilight Saga may just run and run... And is that a Buffy diary?
Saphirewild #4 - ooh those evil witches! I think the boy is being optimistic to battle her staff with those gloves.
#5 - FIVE wishes? Lucky girl - though she looks like she's struggling to find the next four.
Ostadan #2 - nice render, you've done the reflections well.
purrkat #5 - surely that lovely old lady in the pretty dress can't be bad?! Lovely effects.
Ken OBanion #5 - great idea! I also like that the diners outside are oblivious to the devilry within.

As tonight is the deadline, I believe, then I'll not have time for another pull, so just wish everyone Good Luck when the voting opens.

@MelanieL #3  Thanks for your comments.  Good one!  I think that every lonesome cowboy in the territory is going to be following her around.  So much for trying to be unnoticed!!  But she could use it to her advantage if she suggests that the great grandfather treated her rudely... he d be hanging from a tree before sunset.
