Hello all,

Is anyone aware of any type of transport that could be passed off for a "modern day" Helicarrier-like vessel?
Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

There doesn't seem to be too much available but I located this from another thread:

    https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?redirect=1&mid=ba027bc277c1ca45fab6379424355170&prevstart=0

You will have to use sketchup or some other program to convert it to obj or fbx

Reference to the other thread:. See post 181:

I doubt if you can come close to the 'Helicarrier' without pushing copyrights but maybe look at 'Aircraft Needle'

    Also checkout Kibarreto's store:

    And Petipet's store:

Since it already is a mesh model you might be able to use this one from GrabCAD:
    aircraft carrier (3dsMax)

    Cheers,

Looks like it is only in .max format which only opens with 3DSMax.
mesh would have the same license restrictions as DS and poser files, just need to check with the EULA or author.
There was a few threads over at Foundation 3d on helicarrier WIP, but doesn't seem any were released

Well if you can use a sea going vessel there is this model of the USS Enterprise:
    http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/uss-enterprise-cvn-65-/97029/

or a free model of the Essex:

I just found another airborne one that doesn't look as much like the SHEILD one. It is in sketchup format and you will have to use Sketchup or some other program to convert it to obj or fbx

    and in dae format:

Thanks for all the suggestions, but decided against this conceptual approach.
The more and more i worked on the idea, the less and less I liked it.

Davorama's kits are once again available. Can't link because the site has a lot of X rated stuff.

I would recommend the Capital ships carrier along with some of the addons from FVCS.

I'm working in this model. Perhaps, it is close to what you are looking for. Helicarrier WIP

ETA? This looks awesome, some quick questions, can the command deck be hidden, for a smooth looking launch pad?

And will it come with stealth textures?

Too late, I called "dibs".
While I'm at it, I also want whatever that is in kibarreto's avatar, it looks like a set of buildings on some huge, walking beast. Whatever it is, I want that too.;-)

ETA is approx 3 months. In the pipeline after 2 models. Stealth textures? Interesting. Some parts can be hidden for keeping system resources. Command deck is one of them, thanks.

Hi Kibart, last post about this was back in March 2015, has there been any further progress on the Helicarrier?

  • KibarretoKibarreto Posts: 38

Hi Linton, no, sorry it is still a WIP.
