    Good night hugs...

    ...awwwwwwww.

Bedtime here in a but as well. still have a scratchy throat and mild cough, bit so far hasn't got any worse. Was a cold, blustery, and wet day today which made everything ache.

Where's my 7.7$ million Megabucks jackpot so I can move somewhere where it's warm all year round?

You seem to have mixed up your bits and buts.  laugh

Morning. Sweaty night turned to sweaty day with the whole city overtopped by a luminous white haze of some kind very high up, like an antarctic sky without any cool air in it :)

Speaking about monitors: sometimes my monitor doesn't turn on after I wake up my computer from sleep mode.  I end up pressing the reset button to reboot the whole computer.

sucks if ya got somethin running,

There have always been issues with sleep modes, just getting the os to wrire a memory image to disk and verify it before hardware shuts all the software down is a challenge :)

I was about to fall asleep when I accidentally pressed the play music button on my headphones which added music in addition to my sleep time white noise. The music was day time music aka not sleepy music so it did not help me sleep.

edit Adele is not known for her lullaby music and playing her music does not help me sleep

commmmplainnnnt - the recovery disks i paid 57 bucks for defective

oscar meyer gulfff  i keep getting stuck on disk4, so i compared it to disk3 from other pc,  apparently the ini file spposed to have model and disk index#, the ini file on disk4 is empty!!!!  whiskey tango foxtrot

i only have 2 write able dvds on hand.  i can try to fix the empty ini file and burn to new dvd.  but if they hid files, this isn't going to work.  there's a 5th disk.  only one shot at completing this tnite.  after 10:pm  why oh why this happens to me.  need buppy hugs

You mean the product .dsx files?  Those are the metadata files.  If you're using CMS for the autofit features you probably want to keep those, in case you need to re-import metadata.

seeing some lines in the file says compatibility, but i have the clones. g2m to gn, etc

so far my workaround for the defective recovery is working.  copied dvd files to oyher pc, fixed the ini files, burned to new dvd.
still running, cant celebrate success yet

at work trying to contain my outloud ouchies.

looking at graphics cards on amazon.  so far leaning toward this radeon

oggling this dual hdmi graphic card  http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009ZQ5HW6,
3 monitors?  when did 3 monitors support happen?

...for less than that (114$) you can get an Nvidia GTX 740 with 4 GB GDDR5 Open GL 4.4 (vs 4.2) and 128 bit memory interface.  Also capable of driving up to 4 displays.

my powersupply is only 350w peak.

ise seriously thinkin bout buying another one of these desktops while win7 is on 'em.

..this is why I suggested getting a full refund after their blunder and saving a bit more to get something slightly better. My issue with "off the shelf" systems is they often have a barely adequate PSU to support the rest of the hardware and are usually crammed into in the smallest case with very poor cooling.

After about a year of going to different stores and getting the usual sales pitch for what often was an inadequate system, I said "bugger it" and took the time to learn how to design and build my own. Most off the shelf PCs are barely adequate for what we do unless you spend a lot on a premium gaming system, and even then, it can be hit or miss.

...endeds up getting to bed late  last night (early this morning) as I ended up caught in some project issues.  Didn't turn in until nearly 03:30. Was woken up around 08:00 by the resident yap dog (one of those little hyper annoying canines) and couldn't get back to sleep so muddles through the day on about four and a half hors of sleep. When the other people finally came ome and it shut up I tried to take a nap but by then had been awake too long.

On top of that the kitchen was a mess again, both sinks filled with dishes, glasses, and pans (none of it mine) after only a day.  When I got back home later, the kitchen hadn't been touched so I couldn't cook the dinner I planned to have. Fortunately I had picked up a pizza just in case.

I really need to win that Megabucks Lotto so I can get my own place again. I'm not much of a dog person unless they are really mellow and cool. Most of those "micro dogs" (like the one here) are not. How can such a small animal be so bloody noisy and obnoxious?

In a hissy serpent mood myself and it doesn't help that the weather makes every joint and bone in my body hurt like mad.

...and yes, I was born in the Year of the Snake.

A couple of us advised you against paying for any fixes for something you already paid for that should work out of the box.  Stop killing your budget and sanity with this and complain to the original place of purchase...before it's too late!

I understand the annoyance factor of those yappy little rats.  I don't understand how people who have those vicious little cretins can stand the noise. frown Yes they look pretty in photos, yes they're all wiggley and warm but they need a cork in both ends and a couple of quaaludes in their food. surprise There should be signs on the street declaring "Yappy Rat Free Zone" around residential areas.   The house next door to me 200 feet down the street has five !!! of them and still they're an annoyance. angry  After over 60 years of encountering those types of little beasts I have never learned to love them.  If one wants something small and warm, one should get a cat. enlightened
