Not mad enough (yet) for my money:
Buy two new releases - that's more than $20 worth - to get a very ordinary 50% off some other items. Maybe worth it if you're getting the extra discount from Girl 7, but those of us who don't do toons are unlikely to be moved. I seem to remember that it started poorly last year before getting better, let's hope history repeats.

And an extra 10% IF you buy the hair salon for $17.37 ...

Most of the month sales seem to have started rather poorly in recent times. I can't imagine it not getting better, since it's supposedly meant to be on par with the PA/PC sales?
The salon is pretty but dollars are scarce. Maybe the deals will improve once March actually starts.
I must admit seeing the 50% off and thinking that it'd be 'madness' to buy anything in this sale rather than wait for a 60% PA sale

That said the 'mind blower' looks nice ---but the price cools me off quick

No, you can buy ANY of the items, for example, two items from the "even more Madess", to get the higher discount it has to be in the same cart as the other items, not bought beforehand. For example, I got myself the hair saloon (which is too good to pass for $13.02!) and the Ultimate Fly & Ultimate Wasp Collections.
Personally, I think that the sale is a good mixture between "simple rules" and having a wide range of items to chose from.

Well, if I see things right, then a max. of 30%, which do not stack is possible. 10% for Girl 7 Pro, 10% for 2+ productions and a final 10% once a mindblower product is among those. Well as I do not need the hairdressers, I might wait for tomorrows mindblower to get some of todays things as tomorrows still mad. Another 10% for Guy 7 Pro would have been nice though ;-) And I remember that fantastic 30% coupon from last year, which I unfortunately used all to early.

Do all the 10%s stack additively? Normally stacking discounts only multiply.
The 0.99 items were 0.80 (to PC members) yesterday without any other purchase needed, so they are not that great an offer.
I remember MM was pretty disappointing last year compared to the PA and PC sales, and this looks like being the same this year. With 60% being the standard flash sale discount, I am not going to get excited about 40% off back catalogue items. In fact this sale is worse that last year, as last year it was a straight 50% of new releases/other categories, and if I recall correctly, no need to buy 2 to get the higher discount.
Still this is just the beginning and it may improve as it progresses. Whilst 40/50% is nothing too great these days, if it stacks with other offers that arrive occasionally, better deals may emerge, we shall see, but so far my money is safe.
On a positive note.....the discounts are working first time out!!!!! :)
Yeah, nothing's really grabbing me so far, but March has just begun.
Wonder if we're going to get a new figure release this later on down the line, since it seems to be Daz's M.O. to release 2 figures per month this year. Or do they usually hold off on those until after MM?
Well, thus far, too much for me to spend after what I spent on the most recent sales, but it's my birthday today so with any luck I'll get some way to buy something. :)
It's my tenth birthday and I'm turning forty. 10-40 in tax season. there's a special kind of madness there. :)
The 2+ thing converts 40% to 50%, so that is an add, but I am sure the 10% for the other two multiples, but I have not tested it (and I could not for the Girl Pro discount as I did not get that one)

I like some of the Madness items, but I think I'm going to wait for a different day and different Mind Blower.
The Hair Salon looks AMAZING, but I have pretty much no use for that room (though I debated a bit getting it and retasking it as something else -- I bet you could rip out most of the interior and make it into a convenience store, or whatever)

March Madness seems to definitely be starting off with a whimper rather than a bang but really I had been wondering what could actually be done sale -wise that would seriously blow me away. Honestly, there have been some pretty decent sales the last few weeks that have allowed me to go back and pick up quite a few things that I could see a use for but were on the fence about. Then, last night I used my remaining monthly coupon to stack with the RDNA sale on Daz Originals to very good effect.
Maybe it will ramp up more as the month goes on. I find myself hoping that it will even if that means that means my credit card will revert to whimpering pitifully while huddling in the far corner of the room.
Well, since the first thing my birthday has given me is $60 in overdraft fees that shouldn't have happened, I don't think I'll be getting much this MM...
I have no interest in this sale and I've quit the Plat. Club to boot!!

It IS amazing, isn't it? What use do I have for a hair salon....hmmmm...maybe illustrating the 'Bend and Snap' from Legally Blond? hmmmmm No, I couldn't pull it off I think. But but but I got it anyway!! It includes 3delight materials not just iRay so into the cart it went.
It's great. I don't think I've ever seen an image animated on a background by mouse scrolling ever. Good stuff.

I haven't bought anything because I haven't seen anything I want yet either. Well, apart from the hair salon, which I 'want', but have absolutely no use for and so won't be buying. I can't imagine the hours of work that must have gone into that one. It didn't particularly grab me on the front page of the store, but I've had a closer look and it's gorgeous. I've promised myself that I'm done with inventing uses (that never materialise anyway!) for things I can't use just to pick up 'bargains' on the stuff I can, so it's staying in the store and I'll just make do with drooling over the promo pictures. They're probably better than anything I could've done with it anyway :)
No lack of things that I want, but low on funds and with DAZ 4.9 still not being very cooperative I'm not very likely to buy anything. I did some shopping cart testing though to see how the discounts works and found that adding the Girl 7 pro bundle to the cart had no effect on the prices of the march madness items. So the question is:
Does the girl 7 pro bundle extra discount really work?
Spit: If I hadn't just spent obscene amounts of money last month on a pile of stuff, I probably would have gone for it. But trying to be a little more restrained. ;)
