There seems to be a small glitch in the "Mad Artist Sale" for Goldtassle: Mada hair is neither shown as new nor it has the Ma´d Artist Discount applied to it.

One of this has to be wrong.

It's still too new, I am afraid ...

If you look at Goldtassel's page: http://www.daz3d.com/goldtassel# you will see that the first items are 40%, then there are the items that are that new that they have the 30% and then there are a whole lot of items too new for MM - including Mada Hair.

  • RenomistaRenomista Posts: 921

Ok but then the "New" banner is missing on it (at least for me)

Still tempted by the salon, and I quite like the look of the pub too. Like someone else said, it's a bit artificial in places, but I almost laughed out loud when I saw the picture with the picnic tables surrounded by puddles. There's a very similar photo somewhere in the depths of my Facebook page which would confirm that this is definitely authentic British pub at the height of mid-summer :)

New and new ... there are two definitions of new at Daz:

One is new enough for 30% (lasts 2 weeks) and the other is new as in too new to be included in big sales (I think it's two months).

Normaly "New" is everything with the Green "New" ribbon on the Picture.

Thats at least how it normaly works with "New items excluded" sales.

And this is not shown on Mada Hair (at least for me) and that why I'm wondering...

We've seen that kind of behaviours a few times for items that just got out of the "New" category.

According to the readme Mada hair has been released on January 2nd, which would make it "not new" today. Since the sales rules were probably prepared at least yesterday it was still new at the time, so they probably didn't apply to it.

    I've reported it.

Items are in Still Mad for 2 days.

Where did you get the info that they are in still mad only for 2 days?

We will only know for sure tomorrow if the Items and Artists from the 29th move out...

    Allways good to have ;-)

  • Nice chunk of PC+ items in this round...spent 20 took a healthy chunk out of my wishlist

If your not a subscriber, and you buy stuff, your shooting yourself in the foot

I got $240 worth of stuff for $19 and some change

    do the math

If you can convince Daz to let me pay for it on par in Canadian Dollars, then I'll buy a PC+ membership.

Mada Hair should be fixed now.

Bet you'll surprise yourself and find a perfect use for it.

Well, I have this ongoing postapoc theme, so making the Salon abandoned, grungy, and have a few people holed up to keep safe from the giant tentacles and robots outside would be appropriate.

You absolutely have to make sure I see that when you finish.  I would love to see the salon "beat up".  I was contemplating doing that myself, but I already spent 2 months on it and figured I'd better wrap things up, lol

I honestly think it's not often worth it for a vendor to bust their rears doing that sort of work. I mean, it's loads of work to make specialized content, that people are less likely to actually buy, when there are lots of tools out there to 'reskin.'

At least, that's my armchair quarterbacking. I haven't actually done any of this, so I could be wrong.

I thought it was especially cool that the pub has been designed to link in with the Northern Terrace set too. Great potential for an English series!

Hardly, Pubs are a dieing breed; many don't go, must be (no clue how many) years since I visited one.

I've no use for the hair salon, but I was seriously impressed by it.

Ayunia is in my wish list, and might get her, othewise nothing else caught my eye; well Silver's character but I have plenty of hers.

With all the chemicals in a salon,  in a post apocalyptic world,  it would be a treasue trove for bomb making ingredients.

    Bomb-making... THERE'S a thought. Hmm.

Given that most of the hairstyles available in this store and others look so perfect, like the owner has just had their hair done, then arguable a hair salon is the only place we should be rendering.

As an aside, I'd like to note that the use of instances in Salon is INCREDIBLY handy, thank you!

Much easier to adjust textures, and if I need to have two chairs with different textures, I can just duplicate the original.

  • SloshSlosh Posts: 2,391

Pretty much the only place I didn't use instancing was the stylist chairs and the stations, because one would want to open drawers or raise and lower chairs separately, which instancing will not allow.

You can open a Support ticketlike chalie suggested.

Opening a thread on the Forum might give you faster results if there is someone else who can help and often the PAs are answering themself.

Major Daz Sales are a bit like a fireworks display: there are a few ooh's and ahh's early on, but the really dramatic stuff comes near the end. Hoping for some big bangs this year!

That is something to look forward to at the end of the month though. :)
