MAD props to Saiyaness for Rhys!!!
http://www.daz3d.com/rhys-for-genesis-3-male
I think this is the first time I've seen such a different unique character for G3M - in fact, I can't remember when I saw a character with acne! LOL. It's awesome to see something "out of the box" and not your typical cookie cutter beautiful man! (not to say I don't like the beautiful men, cos I do....It's just fabulous to see something so DIFFERENT!!)

He went to my wishlist in an instant. Really a very interesting character. I spent too much on those little beauties Girl7 and Guy7 to get Rhys now, but later... ;-D
Agreed. This is one of the items in my cart now, waiting for purchase later today.
I totally would love that skin/eyes for G2M, too, it's looking fantastic.
Before I read the text on the product page, I thought Rhys was supposed to have Karposi's sarcoma, what with the acne and dirt (which I took as skin discoloration) together. I wish Saiyaness would have given us a less generic G3M morph, but the skins are well worth the price.
Are Anatomical Correct MATs included?
While female Chars are perfectly usable without them, male Chars are prety much useless without them, even if you don't want to do anything close to sexual at all with them.
I wonder if it works for Genesis 3 Female, too?
It's possible because it's a teen character she may not have included them.
Before reading, I thought female; definitely something femine about the look. Awesome affects though
Should work with this: http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-uv-swap-male-and-female-base
You may what to work on the eyebrows though (or not)
Hi! Thank you for the nice comments! I definitely have plans for dirty, gritty characters in the future, with the odd pretty girl thrown in - gotta have them!
I apologise for the lack of genital texture but it is not allowed for a teen character and I really wanted a youthful skin with bad acne!! (Any adult Genesis 3 characters in the future will definitely have genital maps)
His skin can be used on any Genesis 3 Male character (and I never thought to try it on Genesis 3 Female!) so with a bit of postwork magic with renders (one with genitals, one without) it would be very easy to blend the genitals into his texture! (The Spot Render tool is great for rendering parts of a character just for that purpose)
I don't think I've said genitals enough...
Thank you!
Thanks for the Info Saiyaness.
I prefectly understand the situation.
It is just that that level of prudery is hard to swallow if you are a european...
This is a great idea that I had not thought of, and of course applies to any figure using geo-grafts. With the speed of Iray (well at least on some systems, including mine) it wouldn't take a great deal of extra time.
I agree with the OPs about this character. I think we are in sore need of something rather different for G3M and you have definitely delivered that here. I was thinking of perhaps skipping teen or juvenile characters with G3M as I think in the past (aside for some very nice textures like the freckled "Colin") they have been disappointing. This has changed my mind!
Wow, if I was buying Genesis 3 stuff, definitely would get him.
Awesome unique character, totally worth getting with so many uses, can easily see the acne looking more like diseased skin for some post apocalyptic mayhem.
To be fair, a European company would probably face similar problems. It's mostly PayPal and the large CC companies who decide what's acceptable.
Although, yeah, sometimes DAZ goes a bit too far on their own as well ^^
He looks very impressive. Looking forward to seeing more!
Is it odd that I'm thinking to get the UV thing Sloshwerks made so I can put this on a female character? Girls go through awkward acne prone teenage years too.
Hello
I'm looking forward for more odd, weird and gritty and still pretty characters. Sure, Flawless Victoria can be nice but it's quickly boring, soulless ;)
Very nice! Love the dirty options and the alternating eye textures are a great touch.
Ooh, hadn't spotted the heterochromia. Very useful
Wait a second. Its not allowed for a teen character? Someone tells you that if you define the age of the character you are not allowed to make them anatomically correct?
That's just silly. I understand the impetus, really, I do... but that is just silly.
I was going to buy this, had it in my cart and everything. But then I saw it was incomplete (in my eyes) and took it out.
One does not have to be European to scoff at that. I am not, other than by lineage, and I find it flat out offensive.
I may just go buy it to support the artist and their effort, now that I understand it was not the artist's choice to castrate him.
Brilliant character.... for those, including myself that are interested in more information about heterochromia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heterochromia_iridum
I saw and went, "wow!". On looking further I realised it was a 'teen texture' and thus no (altogether now ...!) genital textures for the (on the count of 3 .. 1, 2, 3) genitals that teens don't have after all they never use them, eh? So, I wandered away, slightly sad.
Then I thought, **** it, (on 3 ...) genital textures or no, I'm ruddy well getting this. So I did.
I'm really tempted to get this, anatomical elements or not. Not that the acne is what I'd use it for, but the other textures might be useful for a render of my current work in progress.
As a European I agree that it's unfair. But in my opinion this issue has nothing to do with prudery and everything to do with legal prudence. DAZ host quite a large number of genital textures, not to mention a few genital models, so this policy is not to do with prudery per se. But this character is a teen and therefore likely a minor. There are laws throughout the world, including many European countries (e.g. Sweden, UK, Italy) which forbid images that represent minors (including cartoons) that might be contstrued as sexually suggestive. The laws are often wide-ranging in scope, and largely untested in courts, and in light of this you can't possibly fault DAZ for being conservative in their policies regarding products depicting minors.
Its hard to swallow if you are American raised by Europeans too.....
Thank you very much, Saiyaness. An suberbly imperfect character.
You can still decide to host missing parts as freebie somewhere else, if they exist.
When I saw him my first thought wasn't acne , but more like diseased skin or kinda hurt after an explosion and such, which would work for any age. As I buy characters mainly for skin textures not morphs, I'm not yet decided on that one without the parts.
Still a very nice work - again.
I did, in fact, buy the texture to support the artist who seems to have done some tremendous work.
Bravo to the artist! It is unique and therefore priceless in that regard. And that should trump these other silly arguments and I will save them for a more appropriate time.
