Thanks for your comments, Gopherus (thought I'd never noticed any writing on the coffin before), Totte (I preferred the book to any filmed or TV version I've seen yet), purrkat (mmm, soothing eh?) and diomede (fertiliser eh! that would do it I guess)
@ Totte - I like your take on Living in a Box - I've got a cricked neck looking too!
@ diomede - I guess that's not the Disney version of the story!

@diomede - #1 Cinderella's Daughter : Haha, also a really good one, the prince-wannabe looks pretty bored with he self centric style.

Thanks, Gopherus, Ken, Totte, MelanieL, purrkat, diomede.  Yes, Totte, that Pazuzu seems to get around. I actually did see that in your Ulfnaar tale, which I peruse once in a while, though I never seem to read it all.
Gopherus #1, LOL, I love it! Stalone doesn't seem to know when to quit. Well, I guess he's still making money and maybe he can do that all the way to the grave.
Ken OBanion #1 Haha, I'm glad we don't have to hear it too. Really nice one!
MelanieL #1 - Nice one! I love the happy celloist - he's about to be surprised.
Totte #1 - I love it, so 80s! I had to look the song up on YouTube, had forgotten it.
diomede #1 - Great composition and storyline
Totte #2 I don't even want to know what Ken's video collection was like, but this one is too funny! You are a  truly artful punster!

    Thanks Purrkat, Diomede, Luci

@Totte #1  That s one cool CD cover.  I could see KTEL marketing it easily.
#2  LOL!  The Titanic should have been safe from icebergs in the carribean, the passengers could have tread water while they worked on their tans.

@Diomede #1  Nice one!  I like the plastique pumpkin coach.  Much better than the smelly one her mom had to use.  She was probably spitting out seeds for weeks afterward.

@Ken… no, no, no, not Small World!  I still like the Shrek spoof version, though.

@Luci #2  Aah! the time bandits.  They may find viewing the future is much superior to living it… or smelling it.  Good one!

luci45 - Time Bandits: Great characters - delightful render. Wallbusters - I like the connection between the dragon and the church lady.

Gopherus - Looks like they have their work cut out for them.

purrkat, this one is just flat-out captivating!

I'm trying to figure out the spread, but nothing comes to mind.  (Yes, one of my more questionable hobbies -- I collect Tarot decks.  Mostly for the art that they exhibit, but I pretty much need to know the interpretations of the particular cards -- but that interpretation depends very much on the context.  Hence, 'What's the spread?')

In any event, and regardless of the Tarot spread (and I'm going to work on that interpretation!), this is an amazingly provocative image! At this point,my vote for 'Best' is yours to lose!

    Well done!

Renomista - I like the expression of terror on her face - nice.

    Thank you Ken and Gopherus!

Ken, my introduction to all things tarot and beyond, began with my first landlady when I was 18. Her mother who had been "gifted" with the sight told fortunes with and without cards - had tried to pass the family tradition on to her daughter. Mrs. Broyles told me, that while she hadn't inherited the "gift", she still enjoyed doing cards as a parlor trick for fun.

The spread I used was one of hers - the first three cards represent the present, the fourth is a glimpse into one's near future - if you stay the coarse of your present path. (as all future events are probable realities and therefore ever changing).

    pull # 2

    Luxury car 1950

    Desert building with Tower

    Hookah cat

    Monster Rat

Thanks, Gopherus (if they ever get out of the basement maybe a party), purrkat, Totte.
Gopherus #02 Ahh, Mrs Peale and What's-his-name. I loved that show. That does sound lke a difficult assignment!
purrkat #1 I agree with Ken - that is a captivating image, so still and so ominous.
Renomista #1 I like it! The darkness makes the character on the right mysterious, goes well with her expression. The darkness of the bouilding behind her adds to the drama. I am never happy with my night renders - it seems to me there is always a trade-off between clarity and drama.

    Pull #4:
    Le Village - Bundle
    Walden Mill
    Grime-Inizer for DAZ Studio
    Camp Out
    LoRez Cardinal (LB)

    Yeah, I've just dated myself.

And I just Googled the actor, Pactrick Macnee.  I learned that he passed away on June 25 of last year, at the age of 93.  He was naturalized as a United States citizen in 1995.  But his Wikipedia 'filmography' does not include his role as the villain in one episode of the short-lived series (on ABC, if memory serves) 'Automan', starring Desi Arnaz, Jr., Chuck Wagner, Heather McNair, Gerald S. O'Laughlin, and Martin Lansing.  (Remember him from 'The Equalizer, as 'Control', and 'Twelve O'Clock High' back in the sixties?)

It is becoming increasingly difficult to be 'older than dirt'....

  • GopherusGopherus Posts: 1,108

LOL!  You re saying that dirt is aging faster than you are?  I think that might be a good thing.

I let Steed age some, but kept Emma Peale still young.  Dame Diana Rigg that is.
