    For someone like me who's not really into the tooney characters, I think Girl 7 is adorable and the 2 characters that come with the pro bundle Amaya and Ruby are so cute. This is actually the first bundle in a long time were I liked every single item.  Loving this Girl

    I'm just hoping that the fact that they're expirimenting with doing this means they might get expirimental and do David again.

     

    That's certainly one thing in favor of them doing more figures and bundles in general, more options for less mainstream stuff.

    Am I missing something here? Buy the Girl 7 today, and get the Guy 7 later, not for free, but with a 25% discount. No indication of what that product will cost, no indication of what that product will actually be. "Buy this product today so you can get a 25% discount on a mystery product later"! Seriously? Like I said, I must be missing something, which is not that uncommon.

    The Guy 7 is probably the same price as the Girl 7. All of the DAZ base figures and their bundles are priced about the same (admittedly the price was probably different 5 or 6 years ago, but they don't really vary a lot month by month).

    My guess, and I would be willing to but money on this guess, is that Guy 7, his starter and pro pack will be exactly the same price as those for Girl 7. The 25% will be off those prices, so if you are a PC+ member the Guy 7 pro pack will cost $49.61

    I like this semi-dual female and male figure releases. It certainly makes me more inclined to support via purchasing, for one thing. And I have to say, this version of the Girl looks far less "uncanny valley" than The Girl 6 did.

    Very curious to see how The Guy 7 looks. I suspect he might be a chiseled type like maybe Flynn Rider from 'Tangled' (at least, that might better compliment Girl 7, imho). That'd be pretty sweet.

    I also hope The Guy gets some sexy-type outfits. But hey, if not, well... there's always auto-fit/clones for certain items, haha. ;)

    I see your point, no one likes to buy something for a discount on the mere promise of what is to come. We do not know if The Guy 7 will make a good Prince Charming, or a Quasimodo (although Cory has the latter covered quite well (sorry Mr Poser, I could not resist another dig at poor Cory)).

    Why must I always buy a character that I didn't really want ... to get 25% on the next character that I definitively want to buy.

    It should be possible, that DAZ said ... "Buy this Pro Bundle" and get 25% on the next "Daz Original Character Bundle" of your choice via a coupon, which is valid for a half year. Of course, you would not get the same option on the product, that you buy with that coupon. But with the next Pro Bundle, that you buy after the usage of the coupon, you will get another one with the same 25% off.

    I'm still wondering if they're going to do the whole "one female matched with one male" figure thing for ALL the current G3F main figures.....

    Victoria7/Michael7....Gia7/Gianni7....Olympia7/Leo7....TheGirl7/TheGuy7.....Aiko7/Hiro7 (eventually)

    I'm assuming there will be a Scott7 at least....I'd think he'd go with Karen7.  And if/when they do Callie7, they'll do a Cory7 to go with.

     

    So who's going to go with Bethany7?  Or with Lilith7?  And we've got evidence there will be an Izabella7, so who goes with her?

    Not interested in the Girl 7? Then don't buy her. You may not get the extra 25% on Guy 7, but you won't have spent money to get those, so you're not losing anything. Just because there's a special offer does not mean that you have to use it.

Like any of these type of buy X to get a discount off Y, number 1 consideration is how much you actually want X in the first place.

    Yeah, my point with the Guy 25% deal as well, if you don't want the initial thing then you won't save by "having to get it first" - I do want the Girl Pro Bundle (because by the time I bought Girl and her two characters I might as well get the whole thing) but ugh it's like 90 aus dollars even with the current discount.

    My guess, is that the only G3F girl released before G3M that may get a counterpart would be Teen Josie 7 (ie a Jayden 7). However if Teen Julie 7 arrives with a slightly older Teen Justin 7, then they may feel Justin would cover both older and younger teens, and Jayden will never appear. I also doubt we will see Hiro 7, after being told he was not a great seller. Given how late Aiko appeared in the Genesis 2 cycle (and the G3 cycle, if she arrives at all, we could deduce that Aiko was not a great seller either (I know this sounds like blasphemy)).

    It's been suggested that the Girl 7 looks a lot toonier than 6, where it could perhaps be argued that Girl 6 was more realistic, and then Callie brought in as her toonier version. Similarly, Aiko 6 went more realistic, whereas Keiko 6 was full anime styled (and more in line with original Aiko.)

    I wonder if that means they're merging the toon versions into one more distinct toon version, so there'll be no Callie and Aiko 7 will look a lot more like Keiko (obviously this is only a theory.)

    I wasn't a great fan of the more realistic toons (even though I bought Aiko and Girl) because, well, if I want a realistic character there are lots; if I want a toon then I want one that's actually a toon.

    You know, the March Madness deal is probably the cincher in me buying The Girl 7. Any chance I can save a few extra pennies during MM is welcome by me. Who knows, maybe I can find some use for her in the future. :>

    and if you want a half toon, you dial in half toon, half realistic. I agree with you, realistic shapes, should look realistic, and toon like toons, the half way figures make little sense.
