Can't create custom sub-categories

For some reason when I try to create a custom sub-category in DS 4.9, nothing happens.  Does anyone know what's causing this problem and how to fix it?

I'm having that issue with beta 4.9.3.2.  I've submitted a problem report and have been in conversation with tech support. I've gone back to using 4.9.2.70 General Release for now.
