"Human Essentials for Iray' (http://www.daz3d.com/human-essentials-for-iray)  is currently in Fast Grab. As Iray human shaders that work for several generations go, how good is it and how does it compare to other multifigure shaders such as JM Human Shader for Iray ( http://www.daz3d.com/jm-humanshader-for-iray )?

I can't speak for that product in particular, but I own Theo, the vendor's male character.  I don't recommend the vendor's grasp of skin materials based on that experience.

  • Thanks, I was wondering which skin shader was the 'best ' one to get out of several that are now available. 'Best' in  the sense of easy to use that givesa  much better results than the default shader. I don't have time to fiddle with all the complicated material settings. I just want something that looks 'realistic enough',  I realize that skin is a tricky surface but the ones I have tried have not pleased me.

    Anybody got any recommendations?

V3Digitimes. There is an option for whicher generation you prefer, Gen4-Genesis 3.

Sickleyield's come in a close second.

  • If someone just fall on this old topic, I have JM Human Shaders for Iray (https://www.daz3d.com/jm-humanshader-for-iray) since now 1 year old.

The product is pretty great in any of my renders, really it worth to have it!
