beauty fingers and toes for genesis 3

Hi all,

I'm tempted to buy this set, but I can't seem to find any comparison-pics: with and without the morphs applied... If someone could post some, that would be very helpfull.

Thanks a lot,

Me

  • I have to say that for me this product is a must have for hands and feet detail.  I also mix it with a bit of V7 and set the SubD to level 3 and its magic.  Here is Beauty fingers and toes applied to V7 using my own foot morphs.  As far as feet goes the balls of the feet are a challenge because of all of the split tris turned quads that cause unrealistic ripples.  If the polygons were less and farther apart it would give the balls of the feet much more smooth and natural look (Like V4).  I do love everything else about V7/G3 though.  Hope this helps.

  • Thanks!

What foot morphs of your own have you used? Which program do you use to create your own morphs?

Can you please upload a pic of the same feet without the morphs applied?

    Thanks a lot,

  • I will put something together and post it tomorrow.  I make my own hand/foot morphs and I use GoZ and Zbrush.  I render in Octane and have my own skin shader.  At this point the skin shaders are not the issue, but the detail is.

  • Looking forward to it!

    Thanks a lot!

  • Hi,

Have you seen a chance yet to make that pic? (don't mean to nag or push :) )

I know exactly what Siciliano1969 means. Overall, G3/V7 is lovely, and the beauty fingers and toes morphs help. But the point where her toes meet the base of her feet (lower instep) often causes a sharp, unrealistic crease. I am hoping some morph makers will note this, and create a fix or two just to address this issue.

I have a couple of morphs I made so that the ball of the feet don't poke through the shoes when wearing heels for example. I also have some morphs that lower the two small toes on the outside since it seems G3F is currently unable to have all toes on the floor when on her tippie toes (sp?). But realistically, G3F is way too low res for my liking. G3F should now be officially called a very low res figure. The polygons aren't aligned with any of the human features. So bends and morphs have to rely a lot of bump mapping or use high sub-d and use displacement mapping. Either of these aren't really adequate solutions.

Short story, doing any kind of morphs for G3F is a pain because of the lack of detail and the misalignment of the polygons.

  • If G3F is a low-res figure, then what does a high res figure look like?

I agree that as far as feet and hands go, the genesis figures lack geaometry. Also when bending, arms and legs deform in ways that the genesis figures do not.

When genesis 4 comes out, that would be a major improvement: more geometry in feet and hands together with automated deformers on arms and legs (actually on the entire figure) that make it deform realisticly when poses are altered. Also it lack the geometry or morphs to make realistic expressions, including wrinkles. If you load up a wide smile, even a young face should have wrinkles, but on genesis, they're not there. Is there a high res figure available on the market? :)
