Animation rendering time

I just bought Animate so I could do animations but curious what render times people get, I tried a test render with lime 129 frames but I canceled it because after about 2 hours it was only on about frame 50.  There were no lights in the scene just the character

300 keyframes or 10 second scene at 1080 HD  usually takes me 2 days or about 36 hours for 4 raytrace lights  My Newest animation I released today took me 11 weeks for 5 minute film

That video was awesome, i could never wait 11 weeks to render something like lol I'd be lost without my computer lol, maybe i should try sticking with like 3-5 second clips lol

If you watch Ivy's video (which was indeed awesome, btw) you'll probably notice that it is made up of relatively short 'shots'.....most actual videos are.  Camera angles change, scenery shifts, etc.  So you render a 'shot' which may last 2-10 seconds, then start on the next 'shot'.  Some shots can involve longer periods, but those usually don't have much camera action, nor do they involve a lot of motion, typically.  It's usually for scenes where information/conversation between characters is shown.  Even in those, you'll often have cut-aways to some detail, or a close up or ECU shot for emphasis or dramatic effect.  So almost all videos are comprised of short segments.  Just render your segments.  Then assemble them in a video editing program, and sync your audio.  Viola!

    Hi and welcome
Animation Rendering is the domain of the patient
    people.wink
My current animated film project has Frame budget of  7 minutes max per frame meaning for just six seconds of finished footage will take 21 hours!!
I have been keeping the minutes per frame lower than seven
by rendering elements separately and comping them in after effects as I render my genesis figures and other Daz assets in Maxon Cinema4D.
I am nearly 40 minutes into my latest personal project which began two years ago.surprise
I do have 2 computers one Mac one windows 7 machine
the Windows machine is where all of the animation Data is created with Iclone .DAz studio And Endorphin. and the Mac is where everything is rendered in C4D.

be patient and render in short "takes" as was suggested by hphoenix

    best wishes.

I did animation in high school and it was fun, however the "rendering" times in poser were fast, as i don't think the frames actually rendered, and like you said we did different clips and put them together in adobe premiere, it was fun but I was never confident enough with past computers to create animation videos at home, and I stopped using poser and pretty much just use studio,
