Cannot see dome setting until rendering... Is There No Preview?

Hello,

I'm wondering why it seems impossible to see where an HDR image is until you hit render. This is quite inconvienent. Am I missing something? Maybe it's possible and I just don't know how to do it? I want to be able to see the background Envrionment BEFORE rendering.

    In Iray use the nVidia Iray preview mode, from the drop-down button on the sphere to the left of the camera/view picker button. For 3Delight use the IPR (Interactive preview Mode) in the Aux Viewport.
