Creating historic figures for 3ds Max

I am not familiar with Daz. I work mostly in 3ds Max.

I need to know if Daz models can be converted to some format Max understands.

Also, where should I go for freelance support.

I need hyper-realistic models of 19th Century people. I have yet to research the clothing.

Max should be able to read Collada and FBX, for rigged figures, as well as OBJ and possible U3D for static meshes. For aniamtion via vertex cache you could also use .mdd (supported via the full Animate 2 plug-in) or Alembic (supported via the Alembic Exporter plug-in).

...too bad we can't do the reverse for vehicles and props without going though another application like Blender to convert to .obj and then a lot of regrouping/retexturing
