Octane Plugin Not Showing

Hey!

I've just downloaded and installed the trial for the octane plugin for Daz, and after installing, it's not showing in Window > Panes > Tabs.

Here's what I've tried already:

- Uninstalling, restarting and then installing again

- Manually deleting the plugin along with the extra DLL's

(octane.dll
octane.dat
vcomp100.dll

plordazs.dll)

then restarting and installing again, still no luck.

- I've also installed the standalone version trial to see if that fixes it and still nothing.

Is there a way to make the panes tab refresh itself? I have a feeling it's just not recognised it's there.

Check its status in Help>About Installed plug-ins.

Also check and make sure it didn't load into another version of Daz, (i.e. Studio 3, or something)  I had the same problem.

  • I have the same issue. I got the download from the daz store, signed up onthe otoy site and the license shows. When I go to help-installed plug ins its not there either. Any advice?

If I remember correctly, during the install process you need to point it to where your version of Daz Studio is installed. If you have Daz Studio installed in a different location than the default location then Octane needs to know where Daz Studio is installed.

  • I believe it is, but I am a novice to this.

That's really strange. And you're using that same version of Daz Studio?

If you are and it's still not showing up, try and see if the file is in your Plugins folder. Here's where it is on my computer (the first part of yours will be different of course, but from "DAZ 3D" on it should be the same path):
