Help with smart prop, please

So the Sci-fi pistols are smart propped for M4 and don't load with a Genesis figure.  Will they load with a change to the load script file?  How would I do that?

They should load, just not necessarily in the right position or parented to the hands. If they are not loading at all are you sure you are loading the models and not a material setting?
