Using makeup sets with different bodies..

I primarily use G2F for figures.
Many of my characters are converted v4's, so they use the v4 UV.
What make up sets can I use? V4 ones? G2F ones? Can you use a set made for one figure on another?

The makeup needs to match the UVset of the underlying skin, so if you're using the V4 UVset then you need makeup using the V4 UVset.
Though you might be able to use the makeup on a Geometry Shell, applying the mask as an Opacity map and using the make-up layer as the base texture, which would then free you from UV-matching constraints.
Like any other texture they rely on which UV set is used.
You can't, for example mix a V4 UV make up with a V6 character texture without 'baking' the V4 makeup to the V6 UV...and having the required UVs available for use by Genesis 2.
Also, there will be some, minor to major, misalignments between the various character specific UVs...V6 is slightly different than the base Genesis 2 Female which is different than one of the teens, and so on.
It's not an absolutely impossible task, but one that will require some effort.
How would I do this baking?
If you use a lot of V4 or Genesis 1 characters, this one looks pretty cool: https://www.daz3d.com/instant-rainbow-of-makeup
I've been considering getting it myself as I have a lot of V4 characters. Then I'm like "but I could just paint makeup on the UVs in Photoshop".. BUT I never do it because I'm lazy. lol
Surface tab, under the options...Map Transfer utility.
