Can you have a preset that sets values but doesn't create shaders?

I'm working on a shader set, and I'd like to have the freedom to create additional freebie (or maybe pay) presets to go with it.

Normally, though, if you save a shader preset, that includes a 'copy' of the entire shader. I'd like the ability to just have the settings of a preset, not changing what shader you have.

Is that possible?

It is possible... but it's been so long since I did it that I don't remember the exact steps. I do remember that it works a lot like saving a Partial Pose Preset....  Sorry I'm not able to be more helpful this morning, but I can assure you that it is possible.

File>Save as>Support Assets>Shader Aset, then you can save value only presets (that's how the AoA SSS shader presets work). Previous presets won't be updated to point to the asset, however.
