Semi-OT Tracking/cataloging video tutorials?

I have gigabytes (more han 70) of video tutorials - both purchased and grabbed from various software sites or youtube. I'm drowning in data but never seem to be able to find the information I need. Has anyone here come up with a method of cataloging videos and tracking what content they really cover?

Writing some software that can find/list/sort/search/play them is easy, the hard work is going through them all and manually create keywords and descriptions as there's no way to automate this.
