Two options...use the LIE and a mask or open the main skin in an image editor as the 'base' layer, then open the one you want to merge as another layer...then erase/blend/merge/whatever it takes to blend them to whatever effect you are wanting.  Then save that as a new map and manually plug it in to the Diffuse channel in the Surfaces tab.

Another option is to use a geoshell and a mask to control what part of the underlying skin shows through. It can be tricky, though, because you have overlapping translucency effects to worry about.
  • Thanks for the quick answers! but I I can't understand anything sad

Is possible to replicate that effect for a beginner? I need to watch some tutorials before trying this?

    2 questions -

1 - is this for a still render or animation

2 - are you trying to get the effect of an extra forearm, as your rough version seems to indicate, or a hand turning into an alien hand s the illustration seems to show?

  • *It's for a render

*No, I want to mix the skins of the two arms smooth

    Thanks! laugh
