I am making room for a toon alien species and I only have room for ONE mouthless alien.
Who would you recommend and why... Bong, Loik, or Flisch?

I don't think Daz is in a state where I can recomend a bong but the guy in the middle gets my vote.
Loik has a personality. I'd go with him as well.
It depends on what you need them for. Loik is by far the most distinctive visually, but with his perpetually squinting expression, floppy extremeties and the downward turn of his major angles, he presents a rather dour basic personality. In other words, there are some emotions that are going to very hard to express with him, and the shape of his hands and feet will make some poses difficult to acheive and the handling of some props rather awkward. That said, he's easily the best suited for the role of a trickster or actually malevolent presence. At the opposite end of the scale, Bong is very generic in appearance, but his proportions and facial features are by far the most human of the group, so anything a human can do, Bong should be able to do as well. Flish seems the most limited of the three, especially due to the tri-fingered hands and the lack of a visible neck. On the other hand, I can see him as being perfect for that shambling henchman type of character.
I like Flisch because he comes with clothing, but I think Bong (and Bonga) would be my first choice. With the right morph and texture pack, they can really be extended nicely. I did a quick test pict back in 2010 (Yikes, was it that long ago?) with Chip to see how he looked with Bong, Bonga, Loik, Tate's Alien Bot and my favourite slug.
Possibly an important consideration might be that Flisch is the only one who doesn't have CrossDresser support. As well, Bong's got an official female, if you want a wider range of examples of the alien race.
As far as "mouthless", my thought at the time was that the Slug and Chip would be the only non-telepaths on the crew, while the others would wear little voiceboxes strapped to their chest to communicate with the "loud ones".

Loik. I have always refered to him as "primal and charming." He has a certain "something."
Love the comparison. One can have a bunch of loved stuff, but getting them to work together isn't always easy. Oh, I still have Sluggian installed and readily accessible. The CR2 date is 2/20/2003. I think Traveler was still 'morphman' back then.
re OP, my vote is for Loik (reclusive but not unfriendly), Bong (a bit of humor), or Flisch (scary but too bumbly to be dangerous).
Thanks for the input all... I still havent made a choice yet, so keep the suggestions coming.
Ive always LOVED thiat render Walt and the other with the other toons... But heeeeyyy.... what happened to Bong on the end finger? Lol!
I forgot about that "hammerhead" morph pack for Bong.
Thanks, it was a fun test; I smudged the "finger" because there've been some people sensitive to such things of late and the last thing I'd want a toon render to do would be to upset someone (the goal is always the opposite).
One other thing I remember (it's been a much longer while than I thought) was that I had a hard time with Loik and boots, Crossdresser didn't do a great job. That might be due to me, of course, as I never spent a lot of time in Crossdresser fine-tuning adjustments and mostly used right-out-of-the-box conversions.
Good luck.

Thank for the heads up Walt. I have decided to go with Loik; just playing with a number of ideas on how i want to represent him.

This thread is funny... cuz i ended up adding all 3. But Bong was gonna be the choice. The Hammerhead morph, male and female counterparts, XD Support. Bong just had too much going for it to pass up.
