Genesis-2F-to-genesis-3F-pose-converter Not working with V4 to G2F converted poses
Wierd thing happening when I run this.
No clone pops up like it does in the V4 to G2 converter.
I cant get this to work if I load a standard G3F.
I pick my location for the converted files, then I pick a set of G2 poses,
If I click convert it says it is complete without actually doing anything.
Note: the source files are files that were converted from V4 to G2 with the V4 to G2 converter.
I'm going to try this on a regular set of G2 poses, though these converted poses are suppose to work, or so I was told, that's why I bought both converters.
What am I missing?

So running the pose converter with a file set that was originally G2 and not a conversion from V4, it seems to work.
So I did some investigating of the .duf files created by the V4 to G2 converter.
They appear to contain no info. Not sure how that works as they do pose G2 characters.
Looking at the files in Notepad++ shows no text on any of the coverted files in the .duf
So that could be why the G2 to G3 converter does squat with them.
So if you are planning to buy both converters, you are warned, you cannot convert from V4 to G2 then from G2 to G3, as far as I can tell.
Not true. I have a huge number of V4 poses ultimately converted to G3F.
I convert the V4 poses to .duf first.
Well the files I'm tryng to convert are in .duf format post conversion from V4 to G2F, they just don't contain any pose information.
I opened a native G2 Pose .duf file and then a .duf post converstion from V4 to G2F, the native file has data in it. the post converted file does not.
So I don't know what to tell you.
Are you converting the V4 poses to .duf format prior to the conversion to G2F format?
Where is the documentation for this product, that explains any of this, it is not in the .zip file
I hope others benefit from this thread.
How do I batch convert a folder of V4 files to .duf format?

Nevermind, I found the answer:

Thanks!

Unlike the V4 - Genesis and G2F converters, the G3F converter reads the Pose file and converts it without the clone, adding the variances need to create the same movement in G3F as it was in G2F.
This is why if you have a G2F pose set with Partial body Poses, you get those partial body poses in the converted set. Unlike the Clone conversion which zeros the un-posed joints.
