Semi OT writing out story for a graphic novel

I am trying to write out my graphic novel story to help me when I can get back to my computer which will be Tuesday at the earliest.  I was wondering what is the way that you all graphic novel makers plan out your graphic novels.   I know trying to do it without planing does not work for me.  Do I write it it as a script or as an actual novel then convert into a graphic novel?

I know there is manga Studio (or what ever it is called now)  but what other options are there to make graphic novels with?   I do have Photoshop CS6 and Adobe indesign CS6 (I think but not with my computer at the moment)  I do not have manga studio and it looks like I cannot get it at this time.

I write stuff as a script first... With scene notes and descriptions. It's faster, helps you get through the basic story set-up quicker and let's you flesh out the  more important details later... Like storyboarding with words.
