Having trouble modifying properties of multiple items selected at once

I think I'm just having a momentary lapse in memory, so can someone please refresh mine on how to select multiple parts of a figure and then make them all invisible to viewport and render at the same time?

 

In the Scene tab, I select the parent part that I want to hide, then right click and select children.

Then, I swear that I used to be able to go to the Parameters Tab, Click on All in the left column, then find the Visible in Render and Visible options and, with one click, turn them all off. But now I can only do that for whatever body part I first selected. What am I missing?

    In thr Parameters pane options, make sure "Consolidate Properties" is checked and "Display Separate Items" is unchecked.

    hmm ..that method works for me when - I tried the left thigh and children.

    Thanks FixMyPCMike. Somehow I had unchecked those properties. Oh how I wish DS had a manual...
