Lighting - Rendering Settings

I have created a set with many light sources (street lights). The set takes a very long time to render. What render settings are most effective at lowering rendering times for such scenes?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Which renderer and what kind of lights?

I am rendering in 3Delight and the lights are linear point lights.

Can you post a screenshot of your Render Settings tab...break it in two if needed.

For some reason, 3Delight prefers even numbers...so try 4 or 6 on the Shadow samples (4 would be my choice).  Also flipping Progressive Renddering ON should speed things up some, especially if you are using Raytraced Shadows.

Thank you very much! I will try it.
