Why does my render look like the model is covered in plastic wrap?

I just rendered a single model of Vicky 4.2 with Rhiannon's CarlottaLove as the character, but her skin is very shiny, like she's covered in plastic wrap!  This model looked like her skin was a little moist in preview mode, but no white-out hot spots like the render is showing. And I should add, the CarlottaLove character doesn't have wet-look skin on Rhiannon's ad page - I must have reflectivity boosted somewhere, but where!?

How can I reduce the wet look, or eliminate it altogether if it's not a variable adjustment?

Thanks!

    1.  Where is this model from?  I don't see it at the Daz store.

    2.  Where are you trying to render, Daz Studio or Poser?

    3.  Which version of the program?

    4.  If Daz Studio, Iray or 3DL?

    5.  Is your character set up with materials that work in the renderer you're using?

The material settings are set up for Poser; here's a good tutorial on adjusting the settings for DS:  http://homepage.eircom.net/~neilvpose/tutorial-1.htm

Thanks Fixmypcmike!  That covered it, and told me so much more good info!  Sure appreciate all your help!

    Thanks to you too, Cris!
