Transfering a rig from one OBJ to another in DAZ
OK...this may seem wierd, but here goes.
I have a house model....that has a number of rooms on the first floor, and I wanted to remove a wall to open up the floor plan a bit.
Now this house is already rigged in DAZ. So I export it as an OBJ and in blender, I make the change to the mesh.
I then re-import this into DAZ. All the rigging is gone, but using the Figure setup I am able to see the individual objects, yet any rigging/hierarchy and grouping is no longer there.
Is there a way to easily re-assign the rigging /hierarchy from the original to this re-imported OBJ?

I think OBJ, does not preserve rigging.
Try exporting from blender as FBX and see what happens. Probably it will loose the textures, though.
Daz isn't able to export or import anything with rigging intact. You can't even export a figure with rigging from Daz and then import that exact same figure into Daz without the rigging falling apart. They have had a bugged rigging exprot/import since day 1 and have never bothered to fix this bug. So anything you export will have to be re-rigged in whatever program you are going to be using it in, and anything that is imported with have to be rerigged for Daz.
I'm not sure it's quite that bad, though the available formats are limited (TriAx, for example, is converted to General weighting in FBX) but in any event the suggested workflow - if the figure is weight mapped rather than legacy rigged - would be to use the Transfer utility and delete unwanted bones or- for legacy rigging - import the original figure into Figure set up, import the new obj into Figure set up, delete unwanted bones from the hierarchy, drag the new mesh into the hiearchy so it replaces the old, and check Update Selected to create a new figure with the matching bones still set up as before.
Rigging on a house? Is the house a figure? Not sure how that works, but the transfer utility is what's used for transferring rigging. Edit/Figure/Transfer Utility. You can transfer everything though (weight maps, morphs, etc.)
For just transferring the bones, you can convert the object to a figure. In the scene tree, first select the original house then hold CTRL and select your imported figure. Both must be selected, but the original must be selected first. Now go into Edit/Figure/Rigging/Transfer Rigging. I haven't had much luck with it, but maybe it'll work for you.
The house had rigging on doors and windows so they open and close...

Ah, that makes sense. So did you try "Transfer Rigging"?
If you just want to remove the wall it's better to use Geometry Editor in DS to hide or remove some polys.
