Looks like whatever algorithms they use got goofed up on his store and on the free item today. I really hope that doesn't hurt the PA. Being an IT person by day, I have to wonder if they have a testing environment where they test these things before making them live. Seems like there are mistakes nearly every morning. That's not a criticism- there are many sales and tons of items, so I can see where things get goofed up, but you've got to wonder.
Hard to tell, but one thing that does hurt the PAs (according to what some of them have said) is those store calculation and discount errors - if a $5 item is sold for $1 because of an error, the PA only gets 50 cent instead of $2.50. Not fair IMO, when the error is DAZ' fault.
I wouldn't surmise that as a loss for the PA's, as the increase in sales (more people buying in despite having second thoughts) would compensate, to a large extent, for the incidental low prices. Only Daz has the real numbers, but had it been only losses, I doubt if the PAs would have continued to participate so frequently in sales or Daz would have seriously done something about changing their sales strategy or their tools.
Looks like some of the prices are fixed, but others are now crazy. New stuff showing up at 66% off before any other discounts, and top stuff of 2016 and 2015 is 60-87% off before other discounts. Wow! Things I looked at and put back earlier are half the price now. Maybe a glitch?

Dang, I hate to take advantage, but really- it's nearly noon on a Sunday here. Things have been wonky for many hours now. The Jepe lamp still isn't fixed, but I can wait on that. This is seriously crazy. One heck of a Christmas sale, that's for sure. More than happy to buy at these prices, but if it's an error, please fix it.
Now they're really high. Wow, shopping here really is a sport some days! And watching the prices bounce around is pretty entertaining too.

Looks like I cleared in the last minute. Picked up headshop and 30 other things for an average discount of 82% off.
Some of it still seems to be working, just not the blanket store sale.
The lamps, however, are still not going for free like they should.
I picked up a few things I really didn't need but for a total of $18.12 when one was almost forty originally and I couldn't resist. Then the paypal bug got me. My paypal total was $76.40. Luckily I was able to get a screenshot and submitted a ticket but may want to check yours if you've purchased recently.
Seems the prices went crazy for a brief moment. I was able to check out really cheap, then I pushed a few things more in the cart and was on my way to the checkout a second time around when the sudden hickup corrected itself and prices went back to 'normal'. It's really a roller-coaster going warp speed out there. And no, that lamp is still not free :D
Before the deep discounts disappeared I managed to get Tween Julie Pro Bundle for $21.25 and the new Emergency Room for $5.76 and they triggered getting the Small Room Kit Bundle for free; a total order cost of only $27.
I think I got that new Japanese castle for around $7. I have no idea when I will use that, but it was simply too cool to pass up! It will go nicely with my Lee 6 Pro bundle I got a few days ago for $3.
What ever that hiccup was, I loved it. I got Measure Metric for $0.97 and Beaut Blocks Bundle for $0.57

yeh, it isn't the same as working more hours for less pay, but it will likely have an effect.
I see I missed all the fun again, but that's what happens when you stay up all night working, and then sleep all morning.
I took a screenshot of my cart last night, before I checked out. Jepe's back catalog stuff was at 85%, the bedding with Khory also listed as a PA was at 93%. The Glassware Collection, which was still in Fast Grab was at 82%. Jepe's 123 Lamp was at 48%. (This includes my 25% Holiday Loyalty discount.) Everything has been fixed now, and the difference between what I paid last night, paying for the free lamp, and the same items in my cart now is $8.57... I could ask DAZ for a refund on the Lamp, and they'd probably give it to me. But the way I see it, DAZ and me are more than square on this one.
On the bright side for Jepe, I'd never have bought the three back catalog items if the prices hadn't been so low. So while he didn't make a bundle off my order, he did get some money he'd never have gotten from me otherwise. (Not to disparage his work. He has some incredible things, just not the sort of thing I can usually justify for the kind of renders I should be doing... which, theoretically, should be book covers in the Thriller/Suspense and Mystery genres!)
LOL, L'Adair! I don't do a lot of bedding in renders either, but seem to be accumulating quite a collection of Jepe bedding, body jewels and sheet items! I'm doing superhero and small town romantic comedy book covers. The special effect packages come in handy, but there's not much opportunity for the bedding, or the Japanese castle, nor the camel I just *might* have picked up today...
I think there's a story in there somewhere, though! Or perhaps some random renders!

A good friend of mine writes Romantic Comedy, Clean Romance, Christian Romance, and (oddly enough) Epic Fantasy. (She's an Indie writer.) I've come up with more than one render that I've said she could use for a book cover, if she wanted to write a story to go along with it. lol
But I know exactly what you mean. There are so many wonderful products available that make it so hard to resist, even when we really don't have the need. And I can't help but wonder if I'd have spent less these last two and a half years if I'd only bought things as I needed them, even if they weren't on sale.
It's too late now, but did anyone try to buy a giftcard when everything else in the store had the generous discounts during Sunday?

Here are a couple of good deals this morning. I went with Wow Brow to get the freebie and Snow, Ice and Ash at the steep discount. Spent about $5. I would have loved to have purchased Cayenne. She is beyond gorgeous. Also wanted the new Christmas tree, but alas, the budget is pretty well blown. I'll wishlist them for now. Payday is soon!
