search window misbehaves

This happens to me frequently, and I don't understand it.  I select a figure, select the "parameters" tab, click on the "Enter text to filter by" window, and begin to type.  Instead of letters appearing in the search window, the current camera starts jerking around.  Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, this is a limitation of the Qt framework. If your mouse pointer passes over a parameter slider then as Qt highlights that it will steal focus from the search box - since you currently have keyboard navigation on the camera moves. Shift K will turn keyboard navigation off, but you will lose focus if the mouse wanders over an active UI element.
