Loading lights deletes previous lights

Okie, this is probs a setting somewhere that I've finally gotten annoyed enough to ask about, but,.
When I open, or especialy when I 'merge' a light from my library in to a scene, why the heck do all the lights allready loaded get deleted from the scene?
I want to add a light, not overwrite all the lights that I've put in already!
This ones really beginning to bug me. Anybody have any tips to keep the lights and add the presets as new lights in to an exsisting scene ?

Not quite the same question , but there's a solution here that might help : http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/77636/a-different-question-about-adding-point-lights-and-iray-lights#latest
When you load the lights in hold down ctrl and a box will pop up and give you some options one has a drop down box where ou can select to replace or add the lights.
That's an old bug, but there's a workaround. Hold down Ctrl when selecting and then select add istead of replace.
It isn't really a bug if your loading a light preset. In theory one would set up a group of lights and save it as a light preset. Then when you change your mind and swap to a new preset it deletes the lights for you rather than you having to remember to do it yourself. Only light(s) saved as a light preset do it. If they are saved as scene subsets or are new lights it does not happen.
It's a bug if I've set up most of the lights I want and then want to add one from the library, and suddenly the scene has only the last one loaded.
If I had nuts, this would have been grinding them!
It's definitely not a bug. It's the way it's designed to work, giving you the option to replace lights or add new ones. The same thing happens when you apply a Material preset - you have the option to replace textures or not.
If you look in the options dialog, you'll see that you can set the options, then in future, hold down SHIFT and those options will take effect. Also, if you do replace a light set accidentally, use CTRL-Z to undo it.
If you are adding lights from the library then you are adding preset lights which will delete the lights in the scene because, by deffinition, it is a preset and as far as it is concerned no other lights are needed. To add them to existing lights you have to hold the Ctrl button down to tell DAZ Studio you want to keep the existing lights and add the preset lights to the scene. That isn't a bug.
Just damn annoying that adding a light preset works completely different from adding any other element - when I add a Vicki, it doesn't delete my Genesis!
Scorpio & Hera, Thanks! that worked, and I was able to swap over the default behaviour to something that makes sense to me :D
McLean : Ctrl-Z has not been my freind in this regard, when using undo I often find it skips different changes.
Camera presets behave in the same way.
You might want to put in a feature request to be able to decide, when saving a Light preset, whether it will add lights or replace them by default.
Adding a single light will not delete other lights. Adding a preset will delete other lights, unless you use CTRL, for the reasons stated above. It does works this way for several other things as well (scenes, characters, etc)
