Looking for a specific kind of item in the store...

in The Commons

I know finding specific things in the Daz store cna be hard sometimes, as a lot of times little gems that are just what I need are hidden inside larger packages. I've got a couple of things I'm looking for that I'm hoping are hidden somewhere on the sight and available for purchase, and was hoping perhaps another user had spotted them.

1: cash. Single dollar bills and wads/stacks of money.

2: a metal collar that looks high tech and could be used as a kind of "prisoner collar". I'd prefer one that's made to work on Gen 2 figures, but I'd settle for an older one if I had too.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    I like that the have fold morphs as well. Collar is tougher. I see all sorts of slave type ones but all the sci fi suits have thme built into the top.

    Thanks, those both look pretty good. Still holding out hope on the collar, it feels like something tons of people would have a use for doing either sci-fi stories/images or even (maybe especially?) adult themed stuff.

    I actually saw both of those, but neither of them are right. The second one is too goofy looking and the first one doesn't really look like it could have complicated electronics and such in it. I'm hoping to find one that's a bit thicker. Thanks for the links though!

    It might be a bit of work to position and it would be a little too loose or tight, but you could perhaps find a belt, wristband, or sci-fi cylinder resized and kit-bash it as a collar.

    Ha! I didn't mean it to be a value judgment. That specific asthetic has its place, but the it doesn't fit the visual style I need for the cover I'm working on. Something like this is what I had in mind:

    THANK YOU! I have that in my Freebies runtime and I have been trying for weeks to figure out where in the heck I got it from as I couldn't find the original zip :)

    Look at space suits and hide everything except the collar.

    I don't know how you feel about the erotic sites but Davo has several sets with collars of one sort or another.

    Dang, now that I look, there aren't that many collars. Cuffs & belts abound, but no collars.

    You know that looks a lot like a bangle bracelet. I wonder if you could scale one up and position it to the neck?

    Maybe? I might be able to go in through Photoshop and change the texture to make a bangle look more tech like...

    I know I've come across shackles and metal collars on some of the 3D sites. Not sure if it was here or on Renderosity. Seems like Runtime DNA had some stuff like that too. I was looking for mountain climbing gear and searched for "harness". OMG, the things that came up! You might have to do some searches for "prison", "shackles" and maybe "bondage", then weed through the scary stuff like I did, LOL A search for jewelry might turn up some things too.

    Could also use Ron's scifi brushes to create it with postwork (or enhance whatever you render on the neck)

    Rope, bangles (as mentioned above) or some other circular object retextured might work. I'd check share CG. They might have some good circular objects that could be adapted. Even a basic metal ring could be rescaled and textured to work,

    Sickelyield has a some chain sets here that have neck collars (iirc)..

     

    If you can find a pic of what you want somewhere and post it, that'd help id:)

    @mjc1016: That looks good enough. How did you do that?

    @Llynara: I checked Renerotica and Renderosity first. Renderotica didn't seem to have anyhting and I find Renderosity's interface almost impossible to navigate. I've almost never found something I was looking for on there on purpose, only by accident. That link you shared, those collars are EXACTLY what I'm looking for, but didn't seem it was a creation that artist had shared. As for using Ron's brushes, I couldn't tell from the samples if there was anyhting in there I could use. I have some of his other stuff and some similiar tech brushes that I might have to use

    @Scavenger: Not looking for chains, got those already and they aren't what this covere calls for. And I did post a pic above a few posts ago. And the link Lynara showed, that has exactly what I'm looking for.

    Blender...

    I'll package it up and put it up on my ShareCG account.

    It's a simple prop version, parented to G3F/G3M (yeah, two versions).  The materials are set up for 3Delight and use a displacement map.  There is a normal map included to use in Iray.
