dhair doesnt need to actually dforce, most of it. Just saying. I use a lot of Chevybabe's hair without dforcing it (it has morphs for posing as well as if you want to sim, but don't have to!) and a lot of hair- such as fur on the catfolk set or Rawart's beast creatures, the fur looks pretty good without simulating, jsut render. I find that on my old, 9 year computer, dhair and LAMH render about the same speed and memory usage.

If I get time to do an update to give it dhair, i'll be sure to include the lamh though. In all honesty, I STILL find the LAMH tools way more intuitive and easier to use than the dhair tools.  Alas. i'm still figuring out the best method of transferring from LAMH to dhair or whether to jsut do it all again.

Most of the dForce hair I've seen usually only comes with Iray shaders, which is primarily why I'm not interested.  I was also under the impression (quite possibly erroneous!) that dForce hair required Daz 4.11 or something, and I am firmly attatched to my fully functional 4.10 :-D
