Don't ever replace or DAZ3D Moderation Team with AI heart

I know clash often but the AI ones are worse

example

to Copilot after my comment kept getting declined for not meeting community guidelines

how do I rewrite this to meet MSN guidelines "I would never buy a house in a Body Corporate, a friend couldn't even put a carport up for her car in the empty carpark because none of the other residents drove nor would they allow visitors to park there, her car sat alone in an eight car paved carpark"

answer

For MSN-style comments, it's usually best to keep the tone based on your personal experience, avoid sweeping generalisations, and focus on the specific situation rather than implying all body corporates are the same.

Option 1 (Balanced):

Based on what I've seen, I wouldn't choose to buy in a body corporate. A friend of mine was unable to install a carport in an unused section of the communal car park because the proposal wasn't approved by other residents. Visitors were also not permitted to park there, despite several spaces remaining empty, so her car was often the only one in an eight-bay car park.

Option 2 (More concise):

Personally, I wouldn't buy a property under a body corporate. A friend experienced strict restrictions, including being denied permission to build a carport in an otherwise empty communal car park. Even visitor parking was limited, leaving an eight-space car park largely unused.

Option 3 (Most neutral and MSN-friendly):

Body corporate living isn't for everyone. A friend of mine found the rules quite restrictive when she couldn't get approval to install a carport in an underused communal car park, and visitors were not allowed to park there despite multiple vacant spaces.

Changes made: Removed absolute language such as "I would never", avoided implying all body corporates operate the same way, corrected grammar and repetition, and presented the story as a personal example rather than a universal criticism.

...that appears to be happening on the "Book of Face" now as well as when get notification of a post by friend or follower instead of being able to view the post there is a statement about it not conforming to some sort of unexplained rule.

I have had friends lose their Facebook accounts due to inexplicable AI determined reasons

Is losing Facebook really a bad thing though?

    ...surprised I haven't; yet.

Never had a Facebook, well, not much of one. I did once create an account to see progress of a particular Japanese sculptor (Shin Tanabe) but he started to think people were interested in photos of his meals - Nooo - so I logged out and made sure I lost the details. Regards, Richard

Apparently Book of Face is now deciding what we are allowed to say, despite our right to free speech. I stopped using it a while ago. I have an account only because you cannot access it unless you do. I would not be able to access my clients' book of face accounts.

You have zero rights of free speech on Facebook. The right of free speech, in the US I presume (it is worse most other places, oddly), only states that the government cannot control speech. Facebook isn't part of the government, yet, and is not subject to free speech laws. In fact, your speech rights on Facebook are spelled out in the terms of service. Violate the terms and they terminate your account. Don't like it? Don't agree to the terms and thus don't use Facebook. Of course, I'm sure that includes other Meta properties like Instagram. But that's the world we live in.

well Wendy you know it's gonna get worse for us Aussies with the new rules they are pushing in our country

yeah I lost my facebook account played games with me too while doing it. One time I posted/shared a photo of Lemmy Kilmister of the band Motorhead they removed saying he represented hatred and viloence and banned me I protested cause he didn't and the photo got reinstated then got removed again and banned again then they reinstated it again then removed it again and banned me which they kept repeating and increasing my ban. This last time I got an email sying I was banned/blocked over trying to make money or something first blocking me from several things like comments and liking even got in trouble for reading stuff in my newsfeed. Then my account got hidden and the only way I could unhide it and be active on facebook was if I uploaded a live video of my face from different angles and basicly sign off on my likeness to facebook to use. Well I didn't and then I got another email my page had been permanetly deleted and given a permant ban as everything about me and my page went against community standards. Reda online happened to others too and still happpening.

Facebook should be banned. I'd extend that sentiment to 99% of all other social media platforms too! They are the biggest instigator of violence, hatred and racism in our society.

As much as I detest people who smirk, I tend to at least want to smirk when I find opportunity to tell people that I never had a Facebook account, or TikTok or Snapchat or Discord or ...smiley  (Saw the handwriting on the wall decades ago.)  The limited audience in this forum is enough for me.  Good people, kept under semi-reasonable control.wink  I have not yet had an AI chastise me, we get along swimmingly, but admittedly I have not yet chastised it.  Although sometimes, I seem to confuse it.indecision

Wow! I would be offline in a hurry. Way too much info sharing and overreach. It's awful that it's happening to folks down under!

Sometimes I wonder if that's the whole point of the moderation bots harassing accounts. Some percentage of users will feel the trade is worth it to get their account back.

I don't post much on FB other than cat pictures but I do use it to keep track of family news. Almost none of my family is within hundreds of miles, and enough of my extended family does old-fashioned stuff like "here's the new baby"/"first day of school"/"graduation!" type posts that it's worth checking occasionally.

And yet, despite the fact that the 1st Amendment states "Congress shall pass no laws restricting the freedom of speach....", Section 230 REMAINS the law of the land, which allows the government to dictate to those companies like Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc, and the Government gives them protection for when those companies violate their own policies in regulating the content of people's speach.

Why do you expect a government to follow it's own laws? Surely experience has shown what a vain hope that is? Regards, Richard.

Some years ago I opened an account under a fake name (didnt want them to collect personal info), to see how Facebook actually worked.

Later I opened another account under my real name, as I wanted to connect to some friends there.  After a while Facebook wanted me to verify my identity, which I did by SMS.  Then after a while they closed my account again and wanted me to send a picture of myself if I wanted to reopen it.  Then I uploaded this picture instead, and they actually reopened the account.  Shortly after they closed it again, because of "suspicious actvitity."  The only thing I'd done at that point was uploading a picture of the cover of a science book I liked.  Then I gave up.

The fake account is still there and working fine, I've never verified it or anything.  I use it occasionally to check out things which require logging in.  Makes no sense.

The problem is that there really are some very good groups there, so if you want to participate in these you must create an account, and deal with the consequences, like being banned for no logical reason.

There are alternatives, like MeWe, which respect your privacy and behave decently, but Facebook has gathered so much momentum that the others drown in the noise, unfortunately.  And Facebook may ban you if you mention them.

Years ago (2014) the Book of Face told me that I was temporarily banned from liking or commenting on public posts. They would not tell me what my Original Sin was, but I suspect it was because I'd gone down a list of comments and clicked the 'like' button too many times in too short of a period of time.

Thankfully it was a temporary ban, which according to the notification I received, is set to expire in about...

    checks watch

    ...57 million years.

Edit: I was a little off. My temporary ban expires in 219,238,442 years. As of next month.
