Will Daz Studio add multi-language support in the future?

Does anyone know why Daz Studio still lacks multi-language UI support?

I have an idea. If the main barrier is that the Daz team does not have staff familiar with other languages, Daz could publish the English UI label database on the official Daz3D GitHub repository.

Volunteers around the world who are non-native English speakers but proficient in English can contribute translations for their mother tongues.

What do you think of this approach?

I suspect many English speakers sympathize with your aspirations. However, non-English speakers, on the contrary, will not support your proposal. There have been countless attempts to translate the interfaces of various programs into other languages. And as a result, the native speakers of those languages suffer. The fact is that if an interface element has only an English name, then it is the only one. And each element also has only one name. But if they are translated into another language, the huge number of element names is multiplied by two. And if you consider that it is often impossible to find an exact translation of a particular word, and only an approximate meaning will be found, the result is confusion in the user's mind when using the translated program. And when visiting forums for that program or tutorial sites, the user will not fully understand what is being discussed. All of this has been tried many times before, starting in the 90s. And in my opinion, people around the world have long since calmed down and stopped these useless efforts. I would advise you to just remember the English names of the Daz Studio elements and you will be fine in the future.

You're welcome! Your question is actually very good. The DAZ forum is read by a large number of non-English speakers (my respects to Google Translate). I hope they'll find our conversation interesting. Incidentally, the word "Google" is a good example of an untranslatable word. Google...   it's just Google!

Google is not a word though, it's the name of a brand and brand names are rarely translated: FNAC didn't became FNCE in Spain (for Federación Nacional de Compras de Ejecutivos, because the French name came from Fédération Nationale d'Achats de Cadres), Apple is not Pomme in French even if some people are speaking about la marque à la pomme, etc.

And unlike what you're thinking, plenty of softwares, to this day, are still translated in many languages by teams of volunteers or by their publishers, to be used in these languages, and it would be nice to have translated UI for Daz Studio.

I avoided to use my language version of apps. Those translations usually look pretty messed up, but more important, everytime you look for help online, especially on YT, you will most likely only find help in the apps's native language.
So I think, it is better to learn the native terms (english terms) right away.
