Rooms with Windows That Open

Any suggestions? Most rooms have static windows.. I need some suggestions for rooms with windows that open - either top/bottom or side to side. Either sliding or hinged. French windows preferred but not required.

    I have used geometry editor to turn a static window into a moveable one. Not recommended though if you'll be using the window a lot.

    The windows look like they should open. So I copied the window into a second object and removed it from the first.

    How much of a room do you need? Reason I ask is I've done a couple of room corner freebie sets with opening windows. Thay aren't complete rooms, but have a solid wall, floor and a wall with an opening window.

    its probably easier to replace a window with one that does open than to try and edit one

    (hide the window or use an opacity map)

    there's some sets at Renderosity that are full of such things called P.I.C.K. by Vanishing Point

    As WLC said, there are several "build-a-room" type series out there that have a selection of opening windows. https://www.daz3d.com/room-creator-version-2  https://www.daz3d.com/backdrops-made-easy-windows-and-doors and  https://www.daz3d.com/p-i-c-k-ultimate-for-poser are just a few.  Rather than selecting a room based on what the existing windows can do, I find it much faster and simpler to replace the existing window or even the whole wall with a window unit that works.  That's also a great way to work around rooms with inconvenient window and door placement, like all of these apartment and office sets that have windows on two or even three sides.

    I just bought a group of PW Productions sets when they were on that deep sale during the PA Sale and as I went through them to add my extra metadata to them, I was surprised at the number of the buildings that did have windows that opened. If you haven't found what you need, may I suggest scanning their store and looking at their promos in detail? If you own any, check them out in your props folder in Smart Content.

     PW Production's products often show up in OS/QG, but right now the items they have there don't include the buildings. So if you don't need windows right away, keep an eye on those selections.
