high subd frizz with dForce hairs..

At least those from Fesoul.  I've seen this on all of their hairs ..  run dForce with a low subd (0 or 1 as my system won't run dForce with their hairs on higher settings). When it's done I freeze dForce on the hairs and take subd up to the 3 or 4 that I use for rendering.  Doing this causes the hairs to frizz out.    It's very repeatable.  Anyone have a cure?

Not something I can remember seeing.

Can you post an image after simulation and with subD 3-4?

Same experience here. Which is a shame. Fesouls's hair are gorgeous but their dForce capabalities are sadly lacking.

Fesouls hair is very sensutive to large movement. But that is not what OP said.

To handle Fesoul hair you want to try to make sure that the hair don't move too much. I use animated timeframe, and I place my pose in typical frame 20, and then I place my character in default pose at frame 0, but move the charactor so the head only moves a little. Alternatively simulate current pose with simulate from default pose to Off.

Ostensibly, there are two different conversations happening in this thread, one of which is irrelevant to the OP's question.   An example screenshot of the problem may prevent people from using their imagination and derailing the thread with other discourse.

    On topic:

Assuming this is a dforce SBH hair, then you can look in the Surfaces tab for the hair and see if there are dForce SBH parameters exposed. There might be one for Scraggle, Frizz, and Interpolated Segment Length? Interpolated Segment Length should be used instead of using SubD. Effectively lower numbers of Interpolated Segment Length does the same thing as "SubD" by giving the interpolated hairs more resolution.  With increased resolution, the Tweak parameters like frizz and scraggle will become much more pronounced while having almost no effect at default.  Again, such parameters might be exposed on the Surfaces tab for you to adjust.  Sorry, I do not have Daz open to check what they are actually called.
