Coupon doesn't work - Don't understand why...

The monthly coupon aggravation is back. I have a basket of goods (image), then try to apply the $10-off-$25 coupon and am told it doesn't work. Not explanation why, of course. None of the items are Daz Originals, which are excluded. Can't be good for business to put so many obstacles in the way of getting a sale...

New items are excluded from that coupon as well. After a quick look, you don't have enough ($25) of non-new items in your cart.

Daz Originals are not excluded from that coupon, not sure where you got that idea from. That coupon excludes new items ;which refers to items released in the last 60 days) as well as outlet / quick grab items, (which are always excluded), and requires a minimum of $25 of qualifying items in your cart before taxes. You don't have enough non-new items in that cart to reach the $25 threshold, hence why it won't work.

For the record, the other Daz+ / Premier coupon works only on Daz Originals, including new items and excluding Daz+ items and outlet / quick grab items.

Thanks, Leana. I didn't pick the right products, OK, but why does it have to be so hard? Instead of having a long list of exclusions as a footnote to the coupon, just have a link to "Here is what you can buy with this coupon". Or, have an icon next to whatever is in the basket.

That's not actually all that helpful. Prior to the introduction of the wishlist filter, they would often have deals that were things like "X% off Y Wishlist Items from this Category"...

... and it was effing useless because when you've got dozens of wishlist items and the potential pool is thousands of items (but, importantly, not the whole store), finding the overlap was really tedious. You either had to trawl the category looking for wishlist icons, or put things from your wishlist into the cart to see of they were eligible.

The thing is what you usually want is not separate lists of what's in each offer, but the Venn diagram of where those overlap; it's not common to just want to know what you can spend your PA coupon on, you probably want to know what things in existing offers are eligible.

That said, I absolutely think the cart should explain why coupons are ineligible. It should say something like:

Coupon requires $25 total of items eligible for discount to apply.
Current total of eligible items in cart: $18.23.

(Excludes new releases, Gift Cards, Licences, Memberships and fixed price offers)

Rather than just "Coupon doesn't work, lol".
