what do i need to do to replicate this?

this is not the first char i've tried to do these mouth lines on but for the life of me i can't even figure out what to look for or what it would be under to replicate this. other than sinking the cheeks, but the cheeks end up looking too sunken. 

i'm using genesis 9 and using only morphs, no sculpting.

    Is there a facial morph add on pack that might do it? Something in https://www.daz3d.com/police-artist-for-genesis-9 perhaps? (Sorry I don't have it so can't check, but might be worth a look?)

    yes i have a good few facial morph packs, not that one though. but i'm looking for someone to tell me for certain what it would be under before i get it

    Those would likely be called dimples. I don't know, if any of the morph names in that pack correspond to that though.

    He doesn't call them anything special, though. The morphs are just listed as "AFD Mouth 01" through "AFD Mouth 12". There's a separate morph called "AFD Mouth Corner Folds HD" that's just for the corners of the mouth; those corner ones would otherwise be called "Marionette lines", I think.

    dimples but also basically looks like one of those model poses where they purposely flex the masseter muscles to give the jaw more definition. the jawline definition comes from the masseter, the cheek indentation comes from the zygomaticus major, i doubt anyone has any morphs actually called that though, but you never know.

    Like Buccal Depression or sort of commonly-seen Cheeks Depth / Cheeks Lower Depth / Cheeks Sink in DS ~ If you have 200 Plus for G9 or VINME, or dial official morph Cheek Sink and tweak the cheeks height ~~

    If you actually want dimples, https://www.daz3d.com/face-morph-kit-for-genesis-9 has cheek dimples too.
