Face Shaping Not Appearing

hey guys kinda new to working with daz and i was working on a gen 8.1 model but this problem is happening in the gen 8 models aswell but basically when i go onto the shaping tab i see all the options for like actor, head, hip legs etc and i can access some of the features in all of em but for some reason the shaping for face is darked out and when i click on it nothing pops up its just completely greyed out and i can do any face shaping. 

any help on how to fix it? i have everything upto date i feel i have everything i should have but am confused

What pops up?

If you look in the Parameters pane, with the figure selected, can you see and use the Head morphs there (under Actor>Head....)?
