RTX 2060 6GB or GTX 1070 8GB

I know both of these graphics cards are already quite outdated for DAZ3D nowadays. But with my limited budget, these two graphics cards are the closest options I can get. Of course, the RTX 2060 6GB is a bit more expensive, but what I'm struggling with is that the first option is already an RTX card but has less VRAM, while the other one is still a GTX card but has more VRAM.

I personally only use DAZ3D as a hobby. So far, I've actually enjoyed the whole process of rendering with my CPU, but I feel like I should upgrade so I can enjoy this new hobby of mine more. And of course, I don't want to spend too much more money on it yet. So that's basically why I'm choosing between these two graphics cards.

For the scenes I usually work on, I'm currently only using one Gen 8 figure. I haven't tried rendering two figures yet. For the environment, it's just one room with a few supporting objects. However, I do plan to render 3-4 figures in one room eventually. That's basically all I need it for.

So I'd really appreciate your input on which one would be better between these two. Again, I know that a graphics card with higher specs would obviously be better, but I'm specifically looking for your thoughts and experience regarding these two cards.

My main concern is that the 6GB of VRAM might fill up too quickly, but at the same time, it feels like the RTX 2060 would be the better choice nowadays.

I'd really appreciate it if you could give me an idea of what I can realistically expect from these two cards for my use case.

The non-RTX 1070 will sacvrifice about 1GB of its memory to emulate the RTX features, so the difference is not as big as it looks. Also, if you are using DS 6 then that version of iray has deprecated pre-RTX cards, which means support may be dropped in an update at any time. If you are still usign DS 4 for rendering then that isn't an issue.

Where in the world are you and what is your budget? I have several RTX cards sitting around doing nothing.
