3DIO - Iray Renders
Welcome to my Iray Renders thread. Every render posted here will be 100% Iray output from Daz Studio, with postwork done in GIMP and/or DaVinci Resolve Studio. A.I. is not involved in any render I post in this thread.

One might say that with a name like Raven, she was always destined to become a hardcore rave girl. Now 50 years old, Raven insists an addiction to high-tempo EDM and a revenous appetite for rave venues, are what keep her young and beautiful.

Raised in the scorching Australian Outback by a family of wild Dingoes, Skyborn is completely feral. My idea of the perfect woman, Skyborn knows nothing of the developed world. Skyborn is also the name and subject of what will be my first independent film. An epic adventure where the eyes are wide, and the sex is wild.
SKYBORN – COMING SOON (Or at the very least, eventually).

OF course I love the grain on the pics :)
The woman shot in front , there is something disturbing. Maybe the perfect symetry of her face. Is it me ?
I know you don't want comments, but these are freakin amazing.
@MaloneXI
Her look is inspired by a girl I saw while on holiday in Skegness when I was around 16 years old. She was looking at sunglasses on one of those spinning carousels outside a trinket shop near the clock tower. The moment I saw her - I just could not - take my eyes off of her! She was very unusual looking but intoxicatingly sexy!
I'd never seen anyone like her before, and unfortunately, I've never seen anyone like her since! That was well over 30 years ago now, but I can still see her face as clear as day, it's seared into my brain :-D
The render is basically the first time I ever nailed her overall look well enough to consider it captured. I tried multiple times over the years. Refinements are needed, and sure, the symmetry is currenly way too perfect. But those big, wide-open eyes, those thick arched eyebrows and that tall, pointy face, are what combine to make her look the way she does, and it makes her absolutely perfect for the role of Skyborn, which is why I was so determined to capture her look.
In the independent film I have planned, Skyborn is discovered by an archeologist who finds himself stranded in the Australian Outback. I'll be playing the archeologist role myself, and will be teaching Skyborn a few things before showing her the big city! To a large extent, the film will be something of a cross between the 1971 film Walkabout, and the 1986 film Crocodile Dundee .
But yup, the real girl completely distracted my holiday (in a good way), and I'll never forget what my dad jokingly said in the cafe on the same morning I saw her:
"What's up with you, dipstick?" ... Because apparently, I'd been staring into space all morning, and walking around in a daydream :-D
@David
I've removed that part from the opening post, so no worries, and thanks for the feedback. To be honest I only did it to keep trolls at bay, but in hindsight I think it comes across a bit arrogant, so in the end I've decided to remove it.
Amazing story , mate.
Thanks you for sharing it :)

Just a quick update after some tweaks to Skyborn. This one is actually further from her real look than the original, but rather than delete these I'm using them as refernce and will need to keep doing that. Something I noticed right away is that if I try to make the face less symmetrical, then the accuracy of her look goes downhill really fast. So her face needs to remain as symmetrical as it was from the start, although there are two tweaks here that have made me realise something;
The mouth here is scaled up a little, but now it looks wrong, so it needs to go back to how it was in the original render. Making the mouth bigger has added width, and effected the pointiness of the look of her face. Also, the cheekbones here are higher, however, looking at them side-by-side, the original render again looks closer to the real girl even though these higher cheekbones look more feasible on a tall face. They seem a bit too noticable now, so they need lowering and reverting a little.
I'd say the eyes are pretty much perfect already, although she had slightly thicker eyebrows in real life. Same shape as these, but they were slightly scriffy-looking eyebrows. She's definitely getting there, though, and I'm pleased about that. The hardest part was nailing her look in the first place (which must be the hardest thing I've ever done in 3D come to think of it). All that remains now are more variations and side-by-side tests until she looks exactly the same as from memory.
I'm intentionally not posting side views since they'll be used to help create her LoRA once perfected, but rest assured I'm doing all of these edits so that she looks correct in side profile as well as front.
Apologies for the vingetting on this one. It was added at the wrong point in the postwork process. And please ignore the hair on these Skyborn renders since I'm just throwing random hair styles on for variation. I need thick black scruffy hair for Skyborn, and will create my own once I have her face and head shape perfected.
But yeah. while this render looks more feasible than the original render. in reality, is it less like the real girl than the original render was. But it does at least highlight more of what I need to do, and what I need to revert back. It's obvious the real girl had some unusual DNA going on, but then again, that's the beauty of nature since you never know what to expect!
